Congratulations August! That’s one challenge that I haven’t wrapped my mind around yet. I don’t get to the edges of the state often enough to attempt either of the DeLorme challenges.
It is blue and orange 😀
Only one so far.

If the deer tags are all filed up by then I may take a geo-trip on Black Friday. Anything to stay clear of the stores. Last time I went caching on Black Friday I had to make a quick stop at the Target in Stevens Point to buy a pen because I lost mine. Now I keep a supply in Big Red.
did you at least get a deal on the pens?
No … full retail.

Thanks Everyone. Still having fun.
I met him at West Bend in 2010. Found a few caches with him. Saw him at a few other events since then. Nice guy.
Congratulations Gram&Gramps! Wish I could have timed things differently to spend some time with the two of you yesterday, since we were caching in the same area.
Congratulations on your 2800th find! If you are going to choose a park and grab for a milestone, you can’t do much better than a cache called “Halloween” on October 31. Awesome milestone sign, too.
I keep telling you … Ursa Minor
That’s what I have done with caches that I placed on behalf of Samoset Council. Signed the logs when doing maintenance and logged as finds.

Happy Geoversary! I remember my first lamppost cache. I was stumped! It took three trips to Wisconsin Rapids before I figured out where it was. I was so impressed I went back to Marshfield and placed one.
I saw my first one in New Jersey…I thought it was brilliant….ya not so much anymore.
Just went back to the logs for my first (and last) LPC. I thought it was tough, so I rated it a 3 for difficulty. Here are some of the comments from logs:
Didn’t even bother taking the GPS along since it was obvious where and how it would be hidden when we looked at the map.
Log = “X cache is X”
where X = obviousWhen I looked at the cache page, I saw this was a 3/1.5 so I wasn’t sure, but when I spotted the beacon as soon as I turned the corner, it was obvious that this cache was really going to be a 1/1.
