Ugh! Monday.
Anyone notice that the number of caches in Wisconsin has been going down? Archives are outnumbering new caches. Last time I looked there was just under 28,982. Today there is 28,611
And after another round of archives, there are now 28,588 caches in the state.
Today’s search (8/23/2020) shows 28,589
I should probably date these things. Today, 12/1/2020 the number of active caches in Wisconsin is down to 28,338
As of today (12/15/2020) there are 28,229 caches in the state of Wisconsin. That’s down 109 in two weeks.
We only lost a net of 5 caches in the past 3 weeks. Down to 28,224 as of 1/8/2021.
FTP for Hump Day!
Actually, it is 19 years this year. While the idea to form a group happened in 2001, the name “Wisconsin Geocaching Association” was not used until 2002.
Foggy morning here. We went out yesterday for our First Hike and explored some of the new trails that opened this fall around Grandads Bluff. Lots of work and the results are wonderful. I am also excited to see that the American Birding Association’s Bird of the Year, announced at midnight yesterday, is…..Pileated Woodpecker. It’s my year!
I had a pileated woodpecker in my crabapple trees yesterday.
Happy New Year! May your 2021 be better than 2020 was.
2020 is not going easy. Noticed it was getting cool in the house around 9:30. Checked the thermostat (Nest brand) and it showed an error message “No Power to R wire.” So after troubleshooting the system, I finally took out the fancy WIFI-enabled thermostat, and put the old thermostat back in. Temperature is now rising back toward normal.
And Happy Last Day of 2020…am glad I found a cache for the end of the year souvenir before we received any snow 🙂
Me too. Not too much snow here yet. shouldn’t be too tough finding a cache for the First of 2021 souvenir.
Well, winter is here. Can’t see the grass peaking through the snow any more. Guess I should go plow the driveway.
My son bought a pass for me as a Christmas gift.
Thanks!
You’re welcome.
Merry Christmas!!! Page 1225 on 12/25
Happy Christmas Eve!
Could be the last nice caching day for awhile. It was 51 degrees out! That is about to change…
Yeah, I planned on going caching today, then Betty surprised me by taking the day off so that we could prepare for Christmas.
FTP for the last day of school until Jan. 4. No conjunction sighting here last night.
