I think a litttle more clarification is in order. I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I log my find on my GPSr and upload it to http://www.geocaching.com, the correct date is automatically posted in my field notes. So the reality is that even if I do not get to logging those finds online for awhile, they are still going to have the correct date because the date is automatically posted. The only way the date will change is if I physically change it.
No, that’s not quite right. When you go to make the 1st log, it will show the date that it currently is. If you go back and log caches from the day before, a week ago or a month ago, it will stay that date till you change it back. If doing multiple cache logs.
Nope, Lacknothing was talking about logging with field notes. On my GPSr (Delorme PN60) when I mark a cache as “found” it automatically records the find as a field note. I can add text if I want. Then when I upload the field notes I can log my finds with the field notes, which already have the date that I found the cache, even if I don’t log it until later.
Congratulations on a frickin’ huge milestone, and a frickin’ huge picture, too.
Looks like the reviewers are having a little fun with us on April Fool’s Day.

How does one identify poison ivy anyways?
Edit: Or any other poison plants for that matter.
leaflets three, let it be. Berries white poisonous sight.
Congrats on the milestone!
Congratulations. Next thing you know you’ll be celebrating 1000 😀

Wolf and bear (without cubs) I can tolerate. There’s just something I’m uncomfortable about with cougar though… Possibly because I’ve never experienced one in the wild. Not sure how I would react.

Doesn’t Woodcarver Dan live in that general area? I see a market for walking sticks/big cat defense clubs…
lol I will have to tell him that next time I see him. As far as bears there are none around here. We’ve lived here now going on eight years and still have not seen one. All these sighting are just naked hairy men running around. 😆
I’ve seen plenty of bear in the Rhinelander area. Never saw a cougar, though.
The first cache I found had only been in play a couple weeks when I found it. I was the fifth to find it. It was archived less than a year later. I replaced it with another cache by the same name within 24 hours.
Congratulations on your 1K milestone, Ron. I know what MuggleB is talking about. Last week I found the last two caches in Wood County that I hadn’t already found. It’s fun visiting a cache-rich environment like Appleton, but you don’t find too many ammo cans there 😆

funny thing he does`nt do any of my cache but I have most of his finds

I found a handful of lonely caches today. I was excited for the double points until I noticed those puffin tracks. They beat me by 2 days!
Those puffins are everywhere 🙄 😆

The weather this weekend was perfect for caching. Where and how was everyone’s caching weekend? The ideas may lead others to do the same the next great weekend.
I did some hard water caches. I figured that this was probably the last weekend for these before they become paddle caches. Nothing like walking on ice in a t-shirt with 63 degree temps and the sun shining on you 😀
That’s crazy 😯
I just sent e-mails to my State Assemblyperson and Senator, asking them to encourage the legislature to table this bill and concentrate on jobs and the economy instead.
Congratulations. Keep having fun!
