Now THAT’S funny!!! Rare is the parent who can be realistic about their own kid’s ability. When my son was a freshman in high school he won a wrestle-off for the starting heavyweight spot over a senior. The senior’s parents went ballistic on the coach. Coach told the parents that all their kid had to do was beat my kid. He quit. Sophomore heavyweight’s mom complained to the coach that her son should get the spot after the senior quit. Coach told her all her kid had to do was beat my kid. He quit. Lesson? If you don’t get what you want, quit.
Main reason I quit coaching is parents. They don’t support the coaching staff. They don’t make their kids take responsibility for anything. I better stop here, before I write something that would make the cat ban me 😆

So delete their logs, and send them an e-mail telling them why. Maybe they’ll learn to take the extra minute or two to read the cache page before they charge off into the night.

I know what you mean. My students were excited about the morning vote update, but when there was no afternoon update they were a little off kilter. That and the girls were sad when I told them that they had to go around school and take down their posters.

I think that will be announced at a dinner on February 14. Can’t believe they’d have everyone come all that way just to hear that they lost, if that should be the case.
Well I think everyone but two already know that they lost. And one of those two should know that he lost, too. 😆 Just checked, and the Steele Driving School website has removed the “Vote for Me” headline and links.
Congratulations. Seems like just the other day we celebrated 5500 at the West Bend pancake breakfast. I’ll have to owe you the “6000” pancakes.
So is it too early to celebrate??? WOO HOO!!! Rick Blick, next inductee in to the Green Bay Packers Fan Hall of Fame. I did wear my Bears hat out caching today, in case there was any question about my loyalty 😆

J&L are correct. Texas has had an open season on Sandhills for years. The cranes migrate to Wisconsin, and other mid-west states, to lay eggs and raise their young. We feed them all spring and summer, then they fly back to Texas where they are harvested by hunters there. It’s about time that hunters in Wisconsin get a chance at these overgrown turkeys. I for one am looking forward to putting crane on the Thanksgiving table.
Two hours later and Steele has added another 312 votes. The Mayor’s lead is down to 211.
Checked at a little before 2:00 and Steele had 22,621. A little less than 2 hours later and he’s at 22,970. 350 votes in less than 2 hours. In the same time the mayor went from 23,211 to 23,276 🙄
My students wanted me to keep a running tally on the white board in class, so I put up “Rick W – XXXXX
Rick S – XXXXX”Of course, being fifth graders, they couldn’t remember which Rick was which, so I took a cue from geocaching and drew a 🙂 next to Rick W and a 🙁 next to Rick S 😆
Here we go again. 200 Steeler votes in the last hour 🙄
