One of the two days each year that I root for the Vikings. Skol Vikings!
Chilly morning here.
Craphas arrived?!
Yep, we had some this afternoon. Just enough to make the ground whitish, then it melted right away.
I had predicted that in-person classes would last 3 weeks before we went virtual. 6 weeks in now, and we’re still teaching in-person.
FTP for a rainy Monday morning.

Weekends are too short. Can’t wait until my weekends are as long as bartrod’s.
FTP for Hump Day!
FTP for Sunday Funday. My fun today will consist of grading assignments, writing lesson plans, and updating my weekly document outlining my instruction for the week – which is supposed to be posted on the district website for parents to reference, but they have not figured out how to do that yet.

Working 12 hour days is getting to be too much, and I just saw my schedule and classes for next trimester. Guessing social distancing isn’t a concern, each class is double the size of what I have now.
I hear ya. I spent all day on Sunday getting caught up and writing lesson plans for the week. Now I’m probably 3 – 4 hours behind in grading.
Congratulations, Gwyn. Can’t say I’d ever heard of black-bellied whistling ducks before, but that’s pretty cool. Or maybe it’s kind of scary. I have to wonder if this range expansion is due to climate change.
Teachers have a virtual meeting and technology training.
Are you still in-person?
Yes. We have had 2 staff members, that I’m aware of, (librarian and reading specialist) test positive. The second reading specialist was exposed to the first, so she self-quarantined for 2 weeks. All three come back to work tomorrow.
We attended our nephew’s wedding yesterday, and were among the very few people in the building that wore masks, including the venue staff and catering staff. There was even a sign at the entrance that said “Masks Optional.” Nobody said anything to us about our masks, but we did get a lot of “looks.”
Technology training? Maybe you will learn how to use a GPS! You better ace the test!
No, we learned how to use a program called edulastic, that nobody has time to use.
FTP for a “Staff Development” Friday. No classes for the kids today. Teachers have a virtual meeting and technology training.
