I have access to two, 2-burner stoves with legs. I also have two 1-burner griddles. I can bring both stoves and griddles, or I can bring one stove and two griddles.
I had a great day caching yesterday as well. I met up with 14 others to attempt GC12C3Z Scooby Doo and the Mystery of Half Moon Lake. In our 8 kayaks, 2 canoes, and a pontoon boat, we made a formidable flotilla. 3 hours later we pulled out victoriously. Some of the others went on to make a few more finds, but I was satisfied with my one smiley for the day. Great adventure, great group, lots of fun.
I keep my eyes peeled for clearance rack items. Picked up a bunch of toys at Wally World for 25 cents each after Christmas.
T-minus 12 hours. I’ve decided to just bring the kayak. I took the canoe out of the shed today and discovered that my canoe carrier doesn’t work with my new truck 🙁

Not every park hide is in the play ground equipment.
Thank God! Hides on playground equipment are my least favorite. I usually cache alone. What would you think if you saw a 350 lb man lying on the ground looking under the merry-go-round, or hanging around the swingsets? I’d think he was either a geocacher or a pedophile. Unfortunately most people go straight to the latter.

Can you see the both of us in the canoe? Now THAT would be entertainment.
Hrmm…I can picture it now, the canoe down to the gunwales and a dutch oven cooking cobbler in the middle… from a short distance away it would look like two guys and a dutch oven floating across the water, might cause a religious experience for a slightly inebriated boater xD
😯 Nope … I don’t think that’s gonna happen. o_o
I have both a kayak and canoe. I’m planning on bringing the kayak, unless I here from someone else that they want to come along in the canoe.
I’m going to use this in all my DNF logs … “I would have found it, but LightSquared was interfering with the GPS signal.” 😆

I want to win the Nobel Prize for Geocaching.
How about the Nobel Prize for useless drivel? 😆
Just wondering, if the caches are published at midnight, but the event doesn’t begin until noon, are there cachers out there claiming the FTFs prior to noon? Or does everybody wait until noon before starting to search? Not that it really matters, but it would be kind of cool to get an FTF at an event like this.
I would like to help. My preference would be Pancake Flipper followed by sausage cooker. Hey! a FTP 😆
Thanks for all the messages of support.
Muggle B, I actually had set it up to do another cache for that dual milestone, but got talked out of it by the cache owner due to the heat earlier this week. (I ended up getting the FTF on that one the next day). SHow Your Pride was 58 miles from home, but I actually have three other FTFs that are farther away … all three of them were published while I was camping north of Rhinelander. My farthest one is 78.5 miles from home, and I just found that one last week, thanks to RSplash taking a day off from Scout Camp to go to work.
Congratulations. It’s been a long time since I was in Yellowstone, way before I started caching. Maybe it’s time to go back.
Congratulations on the milestone.
Congratulations on your 1500 finds. Sounds like you chose the perfect cache for it.
