Congrats, BakRdz and Flat Jack. Loved the pix and the log.
Except that the three closest to me are mine, and I’ve found almost all the rest of them, so the best I can do is revisit.
Thank you all for the well-wishes, and especially thanks to WI Hibiscus for all the effort that went into creating this awesome cache. On a scale of one to ten, I’d give it a thrity 😉
Awesome! Thanks, and please keep us updated as to when these will be available.
Thanks MB, but as I expected I have already started to slide down the standings, with Sagasu taking the lead. Your dad could pick up a few more points if he did a couple revisits on my Ursa Minor caches in the Mead Wildlife Area 😆
So where can one find the materials developed by the education committee?

I do think placements close to places like parks, schools and residences are going to generate concern at times. Another argument for the good old ammo cans in the woods! 😉
I’d have to agree with that. I enjoy a nice walk in the woods much more than sneaking around a busy park, especially when the cache is placed on or near playground equipment. I can’t help but think that to the casual passerby, there could only be one purpose to a 50 year-old man hanging around a playground, and in my line of work you try to avoid any possible accusation of that type of activity. I’ve never heard of a police department blowing up an ammo can because they thought a terrorist had planted a bomb under that pile of logs 😉
Sooooo I’m guessing this one will be archived?
I’ve seen a few caches where property has been modified to install a cache. I’ve always assumed that the hider had permission to make these modifications, but if you have reason to believe that the modification was done without the property owners consent, then yes, I would notify the property owner, let them know what you have found.
Mine on the Mead Wildlife Area were all approved and returned to me within 2 weeks. One was approved and returned to me within 2 minutes, but that was because I hand-delivered it to the project manager at a Friends of Mead Wildife Area board meeting. It doesn’t hurt to be on the board of directors. 😀
One thousand caches in one year 😀
Congratulations Birddog. Hopefully I will be able to join that club one day 😀
Congratulations kungfuhippie, I’m sitting at 999
I use my phone all the time when I’m caching, since my GPSr doesn’t have paperless capability. I just plug it in when I’m in the truck.
Congratulations CJ. Awesome cache for a milestone. Enjoyed reading your log.
