Thanks for posting this, and for placing all those caches. I happened to be in Washburn County this weekend, so I printed the pdf of the caches and re-routed my return trip though Rusk County. Found 16 of the 18 caches. Must be something about Bruce … I went 1 for 3 there. Hopefully I will be able to return before the contest is over to find those two and the final two.
I can’t imagine the amount of work that went into those. I did a 7 cache representation of the Little Dipper GC23TWD and that took quite a bit of work. Still wasn’t able to get it exactly how I wanted it, due to DNR rules on geocache placement, so I had to settle for close enough.
I was actively working on one challenge, then got sidetracked. The others I will attempt if/when my regular caching qualifies me for them. But it doesn’t bother me that they are coming out right now. I see it kind of like puzzles … some people like them some don’t.

Wait… What?!? 😆
I want to get one of those! 😆
Congratulations, T&B on your 8K milestone. 8000, Wow!
Congrats on the milestone.
Congrats on 2K, Pete. Apparently whoever found that cache last didn’t re-hide it well enough 😆
Congratulations, Jay. Glad to hear you had a successful vacation;)

Way to sneak that one in! So…when is the first geocaching “field-trip” for your class? 😆 8)
8)I know some other teachers that do caching with their classes. I’m not sure how I’d fit it into the curriculum. Besides, I can’t fit 21 kids in my truck, unless I stack them in the back 😯

Wow! I thought you were going to slow down after school started.
How much time do I have to get a cache placed in your neighborhood so you can get the FTF for #1000?Well I was at 797 when school started, so it only took 3 to get to 800. I’m shooting for 1000 by the beginning of November, or at least by November 13, which would be my 1 year anniversary of my first cache find.
Congratulations MB. Hope to run into you and your dad on the trail one of these days.
Thanks for the congratulations everyone. Funny thing, and I didn’t even notice it at first. The lottery ticket that BakRdz gave me had 6 coins on it that were revealed when you scratched off the play area. To win the prize, the coins had to add up to $1.00 or more. Mine added up to 77 cents. Not a winner, but a funny coincidence.
Very nice log, BBG. Congrats on the milestone. Sounds like you and the girls had a great day.
Going through the old logs and found this thread. Just so everyone knows, I hid the 1,000,000th active cache … at least I had a cache published on the day that 1,000,000 was surpassed, so it’s possible. And since there is no way for anyone to disprove it, I am claiming it 😆
I thought we went through this not too long ago, but here goes: my name is Jim, I am big, and i was born in 1960. The BigJim actually stemmed from when my son was in Cub Scouts and I was Cubmaster. We had the stroke of genius to name him Jim, so people needed a way to keep us straight. Hence we became known as Big Jim and Little Jim. Well Little Jim is now 24 years old, 6’1 and around 300 lbs. I’m still slightly taller and heavier than him, so I can still claim the moniker, but I’ve lost almost 50 pounds in the last year, so I’m not as big as I once was. My goal is to get down to 300 by the end of the year, so no more park and grabs 😆
