I got to the dealership yesterday, and the service advisor suggested a more involved preventative maintenance procedure than just an oil change. Said it would take about 5 hours, so they would give me a loaner. So I took the loaner caching. Put on about 120 miles and found 17 of 19. The two DNFs were caches that I had DNFed before. One is an evil micro in the woods. The other is just gone.

FTP for Monday. Oil change on the wife’s Honda today. Maybe some caching afterward.

I posted a message on the cache page about this but the Virtual at the veterans’ home in King needs to be disabled

That CO has not been active since 2013. If the cache were to be disabled by a reviewer, the eventual outcome would be archival. Better to just leave it alone

I don’t understand why the self-serve kiosks aren’t available. Here’s the statement from the DNR’s Parks page:

COVID-19 Update:

An annual park sticker or trail pass is required to visit state parks and trails. Buy before you go: annual and daily passes are NOT available for purchase at individual properties.

Office buildings, visitor centers, observation towers, enclosed shelters and playgrounds remain closed. Campgrounds are open with special conditions. For more information, please see:

A lot of you get around the state quite a bit…can anyone clear up for me admission to state parks? I believe I looked on a DNR webpage, but it seemed to contradict itself. Can you get a permit on site, if not from a ranger, from one of those self-serve kiosks? In one place, it seemed like day passes were only available online. What about going in person to one of the DNR offices? Thanks.

My understanding is that you can not purchase either an annual or daily pass in any of the parks. The annual pass is only available online. My daughter and her husband went to Bayfield last weekend, and decided to stop at Copper Falls. They called me to ask what to do, since they saw many cars in the parking lot with tickets on the windshield. They purchased a pass on-line and wrote a note with the confirmation number and left it on the dashboard.

Heck no! Had to open my eyes and ears to listen to rawevil on WPR at 6 AM! It was a good listen!

Yeah, I meant to do that, but didn’t quite make it.

JW was the review for my latest cache. Just message that account directly?

Yes. If you click on his profile, he has a note there to either e-mail or leave a reviewer note on your cache page, but not to use the message center.

Where do I go if I have a couple questions about puzzle cache reviews? Not complaining, just thinking.

I’d contact Johnny Waypoint or Bec.

I’m not going to worry about the souvenir thing too much. I figure that I’ll probably qualify just with my normal caching.

I’m a little out of the loop. What’s an Adventure Lab? Is it the same as the Lab caches that were at the Cache Ba$h in recent years?

Like I said, I haven’t done one yet. It looks to me more like a whereIgo or intercache.
