Have a (virtual) team meeting with the principal and other 5th grade teachers this morning. I suppose I should put pants on.
FTP for Wednesday. Wow! Where did everyone go?
I use a 23 foot long extension pole to clean off the solar panels on my roof. This morning one section of the pole wouldn’t extend. After disassembling it, I found that one of the pieces was broken. I’ve had this pole for over two years, well past the one year warranty period. I contacted the manufacturer, “Mr. Longarm,” and was told that they would replace that part free of charge. I just had to pay $3.90 for shipping. The customer service rep even offered me a replacement for the same part for the second section of the pole, even though it was not broken. I told her that it was fine, but she suggested that I get it now so that I would have a spare in case it broke in the future. How’s that for customer service?
Only about 3 – 4 inches of snow here. Hard to say for sure because of the drifting. Just a dusting overnight. Not even worth shoveling, but I did have to clean the solar panels this morning.
This being a time like no other we have experienced, decisions have had to be made that many of us would never have imagined. Were all of those decisions the right ones? We won’t know that until the pandemic is over, maybe not for years, if ever. It’s easy to look back at decisions made in the past and criticize, but much more difficult to make those decisions not knowing what the future will bring. We are all entitled to our opinions, but second-guessing the decisions that have been made or not made in the past does little to affect the future. For these reasons I am also abstaining from this poll.
Happy Easter!
We received some logs on a couple caches today and the name wasn’t familiar to us, so of course with nothing better to occupy my time, I followed up. It turns out to be someone literally on the other side of the state, who’s been caching all over between here, there and the southern border. I don’t think that’s quite in the spirit of things.
I’ve noticed a lot of activity on the State Park Series caches. I think some people are taking advantage of their furloughs and the free admission to parks, to work on finding SPS caches, and no doubt picking up other caches along their routes. The other trend that I’m seeing is increased activity on the oldest caches per county.
Have it on good authority WI was getting a lot of visitors from IL as well.
I’m sure that was the case, as Illinois closed their parks March 16.
FTP for Good Friday.
I went out to do some essential shopping yesterday. Noticed very few people wearing masks.
40 fewer places to go geocaching starting tomorrow.
Nice full moon tonight, now that the clouds have cleared away.
11:51 am FTP? Wow, we are really slacking here, aren’t we?
FTP for Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday at home.
I have places to go: the kitchen, the bathroom, the mailbox … I have people to see: my wife, the news anchors, Joe Exotic … I have things to do: eat breakfast, wash my hands, eat lunch, wash my hands …
Hey! What a coincidence…me too! Except for Joe Exotic???
Yeah, that was meant tongue-in-cheek. I really have had no interest in watching The Tiger King, but Betty convinced me to give it a try last night. We got about 20 minutes into it and turned it off.
