FTP for Monday. Happy Monday everyone.

The sun is trying to peek out from behind the clouds here. At least it isn’t raining.
Went to the store today to get tea and crumpets and fish & chips to watch the Bears game in jolly old England tomorrow.
Ugh! Raining again.
No stats for Copper Culture State Park…not unusual since the DNR has little involvement with it. The city of Oconto’s Park and Rec Department maintains the grounds and the Oconto Co. Historical Society maintains the museum. The museum usually attracts in the neighborhood of 1000+ visitors during the summer season though.
Kind of makes me wonder how they come up with their stats. Copper Culture and Strait Lake for example don’t have a gatehouse, and lots of times I drive into a park when there is nobody in the gatehouse. Devil’s Lake for instance has multiple access points.
Thinking I’m going to need to make fish ‘n’ chips for Sunday’s Bears/Raiders game. But seriously, I think these overseas games are stupid. Just a way for the NFL to make a few more dollars.
FTP for Saturday … or should I say Thursday. 😀 Is that a thing now, claiming future FTPs?
Welcome back J&L
That’s something I wasn’t aware of. Any reasonable Brewers fan should have been rooting for the Cubs considering the playoff implecations that late in the season.
I have a friend who lives in Milwaukee and attends most of the home games. He posted that the crowd went nuts when the Cubs/Cards final score was announced. That was 9/21 and the Cards won 9-8. Same thing the next day with another 1 run win for the Cards.
Looks like the manager-less Cubs phoned it in today. Good luck in the wild-card game, Brewers.
It looks like the NL Central Division comes down to today. If the Cardinals win or the Brewers lose, the Cardinals win the division. If the Brewers win and the Cardinals lose, that forces a tie breaker game between the two to determine the division champ. We’ll see what’s in the cards today.
This is the one time when I’m rooting for the Cards. Normally I would support the Brewers in this position, but the Milwaukee fans really pissed me off when they were cheering at the final scores when the Cubs lost in their last series against the Cards. They should have been rooting for the Cubs. If the Cubs had one those close games last week, the Brewers would be in first place now and not depending on today’s outcome.
Went to an estate sale this morning. There were some 1950’s era Boy Scout patches that I wanted for my collection. The sale began at 9:00. I got there at 9:15 and the patch box was picked clean.
FTP for September 26. I went to get a haircut yesterday, and there was a hand-written note on the door of the barber shop that said “Closed until further notice.” The barber I go to is 89 years old, so I worry that his health may not be good. I had to go to a different place to get my hair cut for the third time in 37 years.
