But I will take the :ftp: for page 922
Teacher appreciation week is being really tough on my diet.
Went out to a Mexican restaurant for supper with the fam. They seated us in a back room, where they were setting up for an event. In the middle of our meal the entertainment began. Everything spoken and sung was in Spanish, and most of the people in the room were Hispanic. Awkward! Felt like an uninvited guest at a wedding.
Happy Birthday, Rod!
You won’t be stealing mine from any nearby geocache, because I won’t be releasing it. 😉 As I read it, a cacher is supposed to take pictures with the tag on caching adventures, and use one of two hashtags when submitting to social media in order to be entered for a chance to win prizes. So, you could win POTM and a prize from Halo Top Creamery all from one photo!
Did you read the contest rules on “Requesting a Halo Top Trackable”? The last line in that section reads:
Once an entrant who received a Halo Top Trackable has taken a Photograph (defined below), as provided below, the entrant must place the Halo Top Trackable in a geocache for others to find.
When you requested the trackable, you also agreed to release the trackable within (if memory serves) 2 weeks of receiving it.
I have a wedding to attend in Green Bay that weekend.
Went to a conference for science teachers in Hammond, WI yesterday. No caches near enough to the school to grab at lunch, and the others that were with had plans that precluded stopping after the conference. Really wanted to find one in particular: GC5A0G5 – hi bartrod!
Page 1000? That’s 82 pages away. At a rate of one page every two days we’re looking at over 5 months. Unless we really turn up the pace on the useless drivel. I’m going with September 23 – that’s my birthday.
FTP for Tuesday. My coffee maker died yesterday. Had to get the camping coffee pot out and make it the old-fashioned way. Trying out my new coffee maker this morning.
:ftp:
on this TGIF Drive Your Tractor to School Day.
Had a pretty good day of melting today. Solar panels are almost clear of snow.
I hate to say it, especially since they are sending me a TB, but I’ve tried Halo and didn’t really care for it.
I agree with amita17, people did CITOs before souvenirs existed and they will do CITOs regardless of whether they get a souvenir or not. Do what works best for you.
Plowed out my driveway this morning, then headed over to my mom’s to plow hers. The N/S roads were in good shape, but the E/W road was heavily drifted. As I got nearer, I saw that it was a small tractor, stuck in the ditch. I saw the owner at the next residence down the road and pulled in to ask if he needed help. He had a chain, so we hooked it to my Ranger and got him back on the road. Turns out he was plowing the road so his kids could get out. Got over to my mom’s house and promptly got the Ranger stuck. It rode up on the snow drift at the top of the driveway, lifting the front tires off the ground. The gravel underneath the snow was soft, so the back tires dug holes in the gravel. After much shoveling, prying, and pulling. I finally got it out. I hate April craphas.
Happy Birthday, Jim!!!
