:ftp:
for Saturday March 31
I did about half of the windmill today. Got to Pluto and beyond!
Posting to keep Noonan from feeling lonely.
But first, an :ftp: for Hump Day and page 905
Double :ftp: :ftp:
I should be in bed. Have to teach tomorrow. No spring break in Auburndale. 🙁
Looks good! Back to normal.
Everything seems so cramped, or is it just my computer deciding to do something different this morning?
I noticed that too.
Hey! It just so happens that I have to work 3 days in the next 8. Unless you count the time that I will be spending at home grading assignments.
I tripped on a root today, looking for a cache. Came down hard on my hands and knees. Slowed me down a bit.
Very cool, no pun intended. Can’t think of anyone better for this.
:ftp: for Thursday 3/22
I found four caches for 20 points and 3 souvenirs. I was planning to do a little trip to the Wausau area after work today, but the wife wants to drag me out for dinner in Marshfield, so that kind of messes those plans up. Maybe tomorrow I will get to Mars, or even Jupiter.
I’m drinking at home.
When I started playing the LCG years ago, the cut-off for lonelies was usually about 8 months. I haven’t played much the last two years because there just aren’t a lot of lonelies in my part of the state, and the ones that there are I either have already found, or they are mine. I think that there are a number of factors that have impacted the LCG. One is that there are simply more caches than there were 10 years ago. More caches = more lonelies. I don’t know if expanding the size of the list would help or not. I see that a lot of the lonely caches are puzzles. Maybe the answer is to take puzzles off the list. That wouldn’t bother me, since I am not good at solving puzzles. Maybe we need to look at the bonus points. Maybe we should raise the cut-off for double points to 3 years and 4 years for triple points. Or maybe we give double points to the oldest 25% and triple points to the oldest 10%. I don’t know what the answer is, but I am glad that we are discussing it.
Erin is my niece. She’s a sophomore at UW. Hmmmm, is Madison a good place for a 19 year-old girl named Erin to be on St. Patrick’s Day?
