Years ago the Marshfield Jaycees used to put on the Independence Day fireworks display. I worked the ground crew for 4 or 5 years, loading the 8 and 10 inch mortars. Since then sitting and watching just isn’t a thrill. If I go it will be to please my wife and mom.
Ones I am missing: 2011 Campout, 2011 Picnic, 2014 Cache Bash Breakfast, State Parks Complete (6 more to go).
The rain has begun.
FTP two days in a row? Where are all our early-birds?
:ftp: for Monday. Looks like a good one.
June showers bring July … mosquitoes?
FTP on a gloomy Tuesday morning.
My son gave me an ammo can for Fathers Day. It was full of swag, including ammo 😉
Fathers Day :ftp:
Happy Fathers Day to all those thread-stealing dads out there!
First day of Summer School today, for me anyway. Doing my “Survivor Auburndale” class again. So far everyone has survived.
That happened to me too, on the Fenwood to Edgar ATV Trail series. The CO tried to set up a trail with the caches 528 feet apart, but had a few that were too close, so the never got published. CO didn’t try to make adjustments, just left the gaps. I found 2 or 3 of the unpublished caches.
Speaking of gardens, everything is looking good except for the cucumbers and peas. Out of 16 hills of cucumbers, none sprouted. Out of 4 rows of peas there is one plant. Tilled them both up yesterday and re-planted today.
Peonies yes, rain no. Saw lightning in the distance, but will have to water the garden today.
Those things and he got frustrated with the “TFTC” logs on caches that he put a lot of effort into, the few cachers that went to his long-hike-in-the-woods caches vs. the PNG’s, and vandalism to some of his caches.
