My 1st car was a 1972 baby blue Mercury Cougar. I got that car in 1977. Back then Cb radios were the big thing back then WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY before cell phones. My CB handle was blue_cougar (for the color of the car & the model of it). As said before old habits are hard to die so I kept my CB handle. 54494 is the zip for where I live (Wisconsin Rapids).

Oh ya……… I like busses also…….& I make the wheels on the bus go round & round (in other words I proudly drive a bus)

Over in Kingston Wisconsin you will find 1 of THE best places for prime rib… aplace called The Kingston House.

    http://www.thekingstonhouse.com/

They are open for lunch Tuesday thru Friday. But they only serve dinner on Friday & Saturday nights. And both nights are buffets. HOWEVER their Friday night fish buffet is 1 we drive 1 1/2 hours for once a month. If you love a good prime rib you will have to try their Saturday night buffet. They do their own prime rib in house & it melts in your mouth. Besides prime rib they also have 1 other meat hand carved as well (usually ham). This is another trip we make once a month. Among other items on the buffet are broasted chicken; mashed potatoes; home made stuffing; gravy; corn fritters; bbq ribs; both nights have a fried fish. Also not seen on a buffet often is boiled cabbage & creamed gizzards.
Prices are very reasonable also with Friday being about $11 & Saturday being about $17. They start serving at 5pm but they get busy right away at 4pm when they open the bar. You can buy your dinner & relax with a few drinks before your number is called. If you ge there at 5pm dont be surprised to have to wait an hour to be seated.

Sunday brunch is pretty good also.

A great place for a relaxing dinner if you are around Winter Wisconsin or Phillips Wisconsin is the Big Bear Lodge (W1614 County Rd W).

They have the BEST liver dumpling soup ever. Of course they have a nice Friday Buffet. Not many places offer spetzle (German dumpling) as a side choice but they do here. The roast duck there is FANTASTIC as well.

But if you like to have an ice cream drink for after dinner ya better save room for 1 of theirs. It can easily serve 3 people…….or more if you are all stuffed.

I have been going to this place almost twice a year since I was about 8 years old ( I am close to 49 now).

The scenery is awesome if you chose to dine on the room overlooking the Flambeau…..watching canoes go by.

If the lines that are being questioned about are everyother line like they are on my screen………I think it is just to make it easier to look at. And maybe not forget real easy where/what line you were looking at. I might be wrong ( wouldnt be the 1st time)….if so please correct me.
