Group camp!
May is the campout. The picnic is in August. I don’t think the Board has decided on a date yet but it is usually the 2nd or 3rd weekend in August.
Sorry to see you go. I enjoyed meeting you in Chippewa and thought about your little dog as I wandered a cache in Wausau (in the swamp, but frozen over when I found it) that you had written about your little creature’s problems with. I hope you find yourself playing in Wisconsin dirt again, someday.

Only tent camping is allowed at the group sites, so “truck camping” must be at your own site.
If you tent camp at the group site, registration for that will be available here at the WGA website at the same time registration for Saturday’s geocaching activity.
If there is a pancake breakfast on Sunday – and I assume and hope there will be – there will be a recommended donation.
Congratulations to the winners and many thanks to all who took the time and effort to run for office. I know it isn’t easy to answer all those candidate questions.
Thanks, also, to all the WGA members who took the time to vote.

A timed “cache” run using orienteering punches.
More interesting data…
From just a quick count – so this could be wrong – there are only 192 active members that have visted the website since 1/1/2007. That 131+ statistic doesn’t look as bad when you consider that.
While you may think 127 (now 131) is a sad turnout, it is better than before.
2003 – 48
2004 – 55
2005 – 82
2006 – 100
2007 – 131+I don’t have access to the WGA membership numbers for those years so I can’t tell you if the percentage increased.

My impression was that the 993 number included out of state people as well.
If you mean “933” (the number listed at the top of the membership list), not “993” (the number you listed) I believe that represents active WGA members, not friends. The full list shows 69 active WGA friends.
There are currently 933 active WGA members.
127 members have voted.

Why not bring this to a vote of the WGA Membership???
As Geopink mentioned, this was discussed by the BOD after soliciting comments from the membership in this forum. No poll was taken, but the the comments of the membership were taken into account and, I believe, the majority opinion of the membership was followed.
The WGA has authority on multiple logging only at WGA sponsored events. Each event owner can choose how to run their own event.

Thank you to all involved!
It’s a great looking coin!

If you look at the forum listings you can see how many times that forum has been viewed. Considering how relatively young the candidate forums are, they have been viewed quite a bit. It is especially interesting to note those that are viewed the most.
I’m certainly reading. I’ll admit I have skimmed some for now, but I will be reading each reply thoroughly before I vote.
Officers Scenic Cache GCE67 was my first cache find. I found it after a fresh 6-inch snowfall the previous day. It did teach me to bring a compass (it is hard to keep walking around to get the GPSr to settle on a direction on the top of a hill) but I often forget anyway. That cache still remains as one of my favorites! As others have suggested, it would be worth your efforts.
