Maybe they removed it so that when they make their cache, the references to how to find it will no longer be in our history.
river_rat, do signs on 53 direct travelers to Lake Wissota State Park? I’m assuming people should take 53 north all the way to Highway S exit north of Chippewa Falls and then Highway S east to Highway O to the park. The only confusing part, besides all the construction in Eau Claire, would be in Lake Hallie where to stay on 53 one must turn off the road they’re on (by Shopko and Walmart, for those that like landmarks).
Coming from the east, I think the signs on Highway 29 direct one to take X to K to O to the park.
The bypass is scheduled to be done this September. Considering the rate they’re moving dirt around, if there aren’t any significant weather delays, I bet they’ll be done around that time.

Well, I hope you don’t lose complete interest in doing them. I’m sure I would have checked yours out on one of the caching weekends I was at Lake Wissota.
You’re right, though, I just checked on some of the more recent geocachers in our area and most are not premium members.
As I said before, I really like your caches so I hope you keep putting them out in one form or another. I promise I’ll make a caching trip out your way sometime after the campout.
Welcome, Crazy4! It’s good to see a geocacher here from my neck of the woods.

Well, at least one of the local geocachers didn’t know about your new caches for two reasons.
[*]I’ve been too busy with work and the campout stuff to look for caches.
[*]There are so many new ones in my area that your’s may not be showing up on my listing right now. (Just checked – they don’t show up until page 6.)I’d be happy to look for them. I have really enjoyed your caches in the past. I just need to get a bit of free time.
Again, welcome! Hope to see you at the campout.
Ruth
Looking forward to meeting you at the campout. It really is great fun to talk to other people that enjoy this odd activity of wandering around looking for hidden containers.

I was counting on that, but when we took the unstickered car to Rib Mountain, the gate was unmanned. There is no mention on the form of a discount for the second car so we still paid the full amount. So, the trick seems to be to make sure you buy your sticker at a manned park – which is tough to do in the middle of the winter.
I can try to understand some of their comments, but it seems like they just want to be critical. One of their logs started with, “Why people start cache names with “the” I’ll never know.” I don’t understand the point of that comment.

That, of course, depends upon what type you’re interested in.
I like MacDonald Memories – GCEE29. It’s a multi with only one log, but a great way to see the park.
I’ve been too busy lately to find caches, but danno77 has been putting out a bunch in the area. I enjoyed my winter attempt at Irvine Climb – GCMTJW and from the logs it sounds like Jesus’ Tomb – GCNK8F is a great cache. Danno77 is a new geocacher that grew up in Chippewa Falls so he is doing a great job of highlighting some of the scenic areas.
I don’t have personal experience with Slowpoke – GCNDQA, but I do like zuma4now’s caches.

Also in the same mini-mall is Cancun restaurant, excellent mexican food, good prices.
Docapi, if you haven’t tried out Casa Mexicana yet, you should. I think the prices are better than Cancun, but that’s just from memory. I haven’t done a side-by-side comparision.
The Chinese restaurant is named Thien-Thanh, or sometimes commonly knows as Thin-Thighs.

Much, much younger than me. Although, with five kids, by the time you’re my age, you’ll probably feel a lot older than I do right now.

Some of us are still in those old days. My connection at home varies between 19 to 44K. If I want to download something I have to keep reconnecting until I get something “decent” in the 40K range. I hate high-bandwidth required websites.
