The chairs and stool are zuma’s, a bit closer to Colfax than Milwaukee…..but I am sure I will be down there eventually.
I’m sorry, Ralph. I didn’t know about your hasty departure until I returned home and saw a comment from Robin about it. I’m glad you are doing much better and I’m also glad you stayed in a nice warm hotel on Saturday night.
I believe PharmGirl found the toilet seat TB under her rain fly. She, Jeremy and I were the last tents at D so things were pretty cleared out when I broke camp, but I did not see a dog leash.
I did find two camp chairs – one with bag, one without – and one camo camp stool (as well as two disposable lighters, a cheap mechanical pencil, a pen, and some other miscellaneous things I classified as garbage). Grousetales has the chairs and stool since we assumed that it was more likely their owners were nearer to Milwaukee than Colfax.
Another request – new permanent caches have more digits in their ID than many GPSrs can handle. Perhaps the GPX file could drop the “GC” for any official geocaches that are in the database? Thanks.

My weapon of choice always has been, and will be……. “ExpertGPS”
I used the same. I guess the main point is that it is a GPX file, isn’t it?
There are usually also PDA uploads but I don’t do that so I’m not aware of that file format.

Only if they aren’t temporary responses. 😉
Ralph,
I might be interested, but I won’t know until I’m there. Can I just let you know on Sat morning?

I paid 3.61 this morning. That’s over $75.00 to fill my car!
I’ve got you beat! I haven’t been able to fill my car at most gas stations for quite awhile. Many pumps used to stop at $50, then they raised it to $75. Now, even at $85 my tank isn’t full. I can’t figure out why they won’t let me buy as much gas as I want when my credit card has already been entered.
40 gallons!

We need some volunteers to help with the Pancake Breakfast on Sunday morning.
Assuming I’m there as planned (if the weather is predicted to be absolutely lousy I’m not wasting that much gas money) I will not-so-gladly get up early to gladly serve breakfast to the geocaching community. I couldn’t think of a better crew of breakfast chefs to spend my morning with! So, you can count me in as a fair weather helper.

I think I see the problem — 2007 was at Hartman Creek!
Oops! I was off a year. I meant Hartman in 2004 and Peninsula in 2006. (We’ve been to Hartman twice.)

I just can’t wait to go camping!!! So very tired of snow and cold!

Thinking back on Hartman in 2005 and Peninsula in 2007 I don’t think the WGA Campout experience implies a lack of rain and snow. 🙂 But, it is very fun regardless of weather.
Welcome! I think it is very cool that you decided to go out on your own to see what your husband was so interested in. I hope you continue to enjoy geocaching as much as the rest of us! I hope to meet you on the trail or at an event sometime.

With no dish or cable TV, there isn’t much reason to use a remote. TV is used mostly for DVDs and Wii, so remote seldom needed.
If geocaching with my spouse (seldom happens) we both have a GPSr in hand.
Here is another one.
Since I moved to WI 27 years ago, I have assumed that the ground hog declaring six more weeks of winter would be an early spring. March 15th would be an early end of winter, considering we have often had big snowstorms around that time.
So, I hope the large hairy rodent sees his shadow!
No predictions from me. I don’t want to jinx my vacation in March. I’ll take what comes and hope it doesn’t keep me from getting back from Milwaukee on March 16 and from getting to the Minneapolis airport (to Mexico) on March 17.
I went to Bodyworlds 1 in Minneapolis in 2006. I thought it was great, as did my spouse and two children. I’d love to go to one that includes animals as well.
