I have seen a few of those stocked with enough goodies to call them toy Boxes. I dislike them, because the girls spend an hour trying to make up their minds. 😀
I have been following this issue for a while and now I will enter with an opinion.
I once heard a story from a storyteller that makes sense here:
Three men were crossing the desert on camel. They were carrying all the supplies they could for the trip. A ways into the journey one of the men claims to hear a voice in the wind calling them over a dune. He wants to go. Another is reluctant, but is willing to check it out. The third thinks they are both crazy and refuses to go. When the two men get there, they see a dry river bed filled with rocks. The voice is heard again saying take all the rocks you can on your journey and you will be rewarded. The first man energetic took as much as he could. He dumped his gear and took a load almost too heavy for his camel. The second thought he was crazy, but he picked up a small bag and filled it just in case. The third obviously had none, because he refused to come over the dune. When they reached their destination, they unpacked their bags. The two men realized that the rocks turned to gold.
Moral: your personal reward for anything can be measured by the effort put into it.
People that get these printouts cheat only themselves in the long run. I feel bad that the cache owners feel that they are being cheated of their reward. I hope their efforts will be rewarded on occasion by a good log, they just will have to put effort into waiting a bit more patiently.
I noticed yesterday a cacher took a group of newbies to the final of a series without having them find all the required caches to get the coordinates. He/She had found the final before. The newbies were a cub scout troop. Is that wrong???
This bill will be like any other issue in this country:
25% of the people will love it.
20% of the people will like it.
10% of the people won’t care.
20% of the people won’t like it.
25% of the people will hate it.Elections are won and lost in the middle 50%. We all need to take classes in conflict resolution. It would help a lot of us out in many situations.
So how many restaurants will actually list nutrition information on their menus? What will happen if they don’t? Will the government nutrition publication police come and get them.
A family member owns a small vending machine business. His machines don’t have windows to see the packaging. He is wondering if he will be “tarred and feathered” if he doesn’t have the info posted.
I wonder what other goodies will come to light hidden (maybe not hidden, but simply unknown bits) in this “wonderful piece of legislation”.
The pirate gang is working on one. We had created a design that was round, so we are trying to rework it in the shape of WI (not going well). The submission will be forth coming. 8)
I finally got annoyed enough to download a new browser. I find that Firefox works the best no error messages yet. It is also much quicker then IE.
I did not like chrome.

John Galt? He’s the mysterious third, the second rate accountant no one knows.
Really strange story. Been reading it for over a year, and still have some 250 pages to go!
Slightly off topic – but I do most of my books in the car (on CD) while driving. Just looked this one up – 38 CD’s which is longer than my longest book of 28 CD’s (Non-Fiction – Collapse: how societies choose to fail or succeed – Diamond, Jared) which would also be appropriate to the discussion however.
I just put a copy on hold at the library. Thanks for the title.
The fish are really swimming across the screen now. We saw a dozen in 2 minutes.
I didn’t mean to start this with an innocuous statement last evening.
But, here are my thoughts after a night’s sleep.
Last night I heard Rep. Nancy Pelosi stand up in front of congress and state “we are “endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” This legislation will lead to healthier lives, more liberty to pursue hopes and dreams and happiness for the American people. This is an American proposal that honors the traditions of our country.”
I believe in a country of advanced citizenship. Meaning that if you want a right, you have to be willing to stand up fight and earn it. The government’s role should be to ensure its citizens the ability to fight for their unalienable rights. This healthcare legislation seems to me to punish a segment of society that is willing to fight for their rights to try to give it to those that are unwilling.
Healthcare legislation is needed for those unable, not for those unwilling.
Local angle:
This morning I heard Sen Feingold praising the bill, because it requires an 80% return from your premiums to your care. He stated it will be nice to see that instead of seeing glass skyscrapers in the center of cities with insurance companies names on them. I just wanted to ask Sen. Feingold what happens to the jobs and the lives of the people who work in those buildings. Cutting costs = cutting jobs.
My two cents, who is John Gault?
😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
Watching boring basketball….should go caching.
We are all amused so easily. I watched for about a half an hour too. It is kinda interesting.
