I have a printed copy of that one in my puzzle folder from 5/22/09. I will e-mail it to you in PDF form. I will need your e-mail address. You can send it to me through my profile on geocaching.com or PM I guess.
ditto.
I like doing cemetery caches. They offer some great history lessons.
Although, I did feel uncomfortable one time. My daughters and I were in Calvary Cemetery in Milwaukee. We were taking a tour of historical Milwaukee figures Juneau, Miller, Cudahy, etc. for a puzzle cache. We came accross a woman with a picnic set up next to a gravestone. She was having a glass of champagne and there was another glass filled on top of the headstone that she was lying near. It seemed she was having a moment with her loved one. I was embarassed for interupting something that I thought probably should have been private for her. We just continued on quietly, but I still felt guilty.
I guess you should just be respectful as with any other cache.
AS owner of the previous mentioned pirate cache on Pewaukee lake, I need to say it has simply dissappeared. I plan to replace it this weekend, but please check the listing.
You mean that wasn’t the snow plow. City plows here in Milwaukee running all night. I woke at 3:59am and thought one hit the curb or something.
Farm and Fleet in Menomonee falls carries them used as does the Army Navy surplus store in Downtown Milwaukee. $7-$15 is the usual depending on the size.
I am guilty of the cut and paste on several occasions. I have done that for event finds and a series of caches by the same hider. Gotta do what you gottta do. I know a local Milwaukee cacher that never has written more then “nice hide, TFTC.”
😀 Thanks for the laugh this morning.
9-14 inches of the white stuff by tuesday night here. Bummer, we were going to visit the pineapple under the sea Saturday. WE will have to see how deep it gets.
I kinda of “lost” one last year. My phone was in a lower pocket of a pair of cargo shorts as I did a river crossing. Those phones really don’t like being submerged.
Another phone related incident. The snowblower makes a strange noise and just as I began to worry that I broke something pieces of my phone were flying out the chute.
I guess this means if I drive up to Trekkin’ and Birdin’s part of the state and buy them dinner, I still can’t log a find for T & B’s “How hungry are you?” Challenge. 😆
I think I will start with an easier challenge.
The ice on the main page sure does look familiar 🙄
Congrats to the two of you. It was nice to see you last Monday. I commend you on the ability to walk away from continuing down the Glacial Drumline Trail to achieve the milestone at the cache you intended.
This weather couldn’t be any better. I had a few caches on my list to do this winter where the ice was becoming questionable. After the next few days, Saturday is looking to be a fun day.
I dont agree with all of this blog, but it makes you think.
