I have one in Racine, GC4MW1E, which is actually a seasonal cache since the owners tape it up during the winter while they’re gone.
Very sorry to hear that, Jay. I’d be willing to adopt Signs and Rooten Staircase.
I can verify that!
Even though I actually qualify myself, I would recommend Tom K or Georocks1.
Well put, Ryan. I myself at one time wondered why micros were placed in spots where larger-sized containers could be placed, but soon found out that kids can hang out in the woods as well and come across these containers and take them. I’ve had enough ‘regular’ containers muggled in spots I thought no one would venture to. As far as points of interests go…there’s only so many waterfalls and gorges or bluffs to go around. Besides,Lots of states have Power Trails these days. The sport has changed in a way, but it still has a lot to offer.
I just experienced a first on a log of one of my hides. The finder implied that the hint for that cache ruined the thrill of the hunt. Pardon me, but aren’t they optional and SCRAMBLED at that?
Just turned 8 a few days ago, as a muggle, walking in a nearby woods on Sept 25th, 2003, running into a gracious geocacher who let me tag along on a fun but tough multi. I was hooked ever since.
Congratulations on hitting this milestone!
Congrats on reaching the 2,000 find mark!
Congratulations! Here’s to the next 100!
Congratulations to a couple who really love this sport. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations on reaching 4,000 finds! Hope to see you both again soon.
That’s amazing. Congrats. Enjoyed a lot of your photos as well.
On a similar line, years ago, before the NM response was available, I had someone request the archiving of one of my caches simply because she found a stage of the multi lying on the ground. I usually check on my hides after a couple of DNF’s, and I usually will place an owner’s maintenance log after checking on a hide or changing out log books or containers…whether a NM was listed or not.
That’s a nice and memorable cache for a milestone. Congrats.
