      Too bad you’re not headed through the Quincy IL area. I’ve run into two very memorable ones there.

        Can I drop in a suggestion for getting a ham license… Great radios and great range. License is easy to obtain with a little bit of study, and is a rewarding hobby in and of itself.

            We picked up two sit on top’s by Ocean Kayak last year from the Johnson Outdoors location in Racine. Really nice. Wish I had more time to use them.

              Well here’s what I did to get my first bearing.

              Made sure I had good sat coverage and took a 10 minute WAAS average reading. The reading didn’t change more than .003 on the North and .001 on the West.

              I averaged the actual readings that I oberved changing over this time.

              I plan on retaking the readings tommorow to see how it looks. I have till Monday before the park manager returns from a few days of vacation before I can activate this one anyway.

                Well, The meeting went very well and many of the board members were quite interested in it. I did receive permission to place a cache in a mutually agreed on area with the park manager. This is good for a year with a review at that time..

                  Found this one yesterday! Ya! I can’t believe I had walked by it as many times as I must have on my first attempt. Finished this off on the way to Farm Junk. Thanks for the help.

                    I’m thinking its just a bit too cold to be playing in the water today.. My thermometer’s reading 12° with a strong wind. Perhaps another day we can get together and work this one out.

                    Thanks for the offer, we’ll have to get together and talk homebrew sometime… lol Love the name.
