I would be interested in a 5% share if you can keep the cost at the anticapated $2 or less each.

I said I wouldn’t be interested in getting any BUT they look great and would love to get a set of them.

Be careful. Geocoin collecting is very addictive. Your six or seven will shortly be ten or twenty which in a few months will have grown to a hundred.

    Remember you have been warned.

    LOL

I guess if I had clicked on the link and did a little searching I would have found out what WPRA is and why we are joining.

    Quoted from board resolutions,

“The WGA shall obtain a 1-year membership in the WPRA (Wisconsin Park and Recreation Association) at an approximate cost of $200. This shall be considered a trial membership, and the WGA shall evaluate the benefits before renewing in 2010.”

    Sounds like money well spent.

What is WPRA? And if the name doesn’t explain it, why are we joining?

in reply to: What is the Best Smart Phone for Geocaching? #1920525

I have a blackberry tour and I use a free app called BlackStar. There is only one function on the app that I use. With a couple of clicks it can open the phones web browser and pull up the gc.com search page of the caches nearest the location you are standing at.

I don’t know how many times I have just randomly checked (gas stations, rest areas, places that look like there should be one at, etc.) to see if any are around and find that there is one with in a couple of hundred feet of me.

Finding a pathtag is not nearly as exciting as finding a geocoin.

Wish they wouldn’t have came up with them and a lot of other similiar things. But they are a lot cheaper and makes it easier for everyone to afford to make one if they want and it is another chance for GC to bring in more money for selling the tracking numbers for them.

BTW we placeds a cache in south central WI one sunday, came back to Appleton and submitted it, WGA3 approved it and it was found the same evening in a snow storm.

    😯 WHO!! ME?? 😆

Dial up? Guess all websites need to go back to the 90’s so dial up will work better.

Maybe we need to start a m.wi-geocaching site?

flashplayer…take a moment and update to the current one.

Oh wait they can’t do that because they are on a slow dial up connection.

We were finally getting our home page to look really nice and interesting and then some of it was taken away.

Really to bad but the single picture is still better then nothing.

Or click on your name in the upper right corner of gc.com and then scroll down till you come to list newest in Wisconsin and click and you have all the caches in WI. Just go to the last page to find the oldest.

in reply to: New tick-borne diseases #1917948

No real worries, just nice to know what to be on the look out for.

I agree in that I think most “new” deseases are actually old ones that have all ways been around but are just getting noticed and not blamed on something else.

in reply to: New tick-borne diseases #1917946

Well since nobody mentioned what the symptoms of these new diseases are I guess I will have to go google it and find out for myself.

On a side note is the spell checker ever going to work again?

in reply to: TB with 0 miles…why? #1917427

Awile back there was problems with the mileages not totalling up but I thought they had that problem fixed.

At that time the work around was to manually refresh the miles by using the drop down box over to the right of the page and get ‘recalculate distance’ and then hit the go button.
