That would be great if you could. The hint is good and makes it pretty easy. Unless the container has moved itself. 😆 Otherwise it will be 2 weeks before I can get to it.

I have 91 active caches and recently archived about 6 because they had gone missing or needed maintenence and it was just easier to remove it then repair them.

I drive truck and am not home a lot and it seems like the last six months all I have done on my time off is run and do maintenence on my caches. I have come to be pretty disgusted with all the work involved for petty complaints and just inconsiderate people in how they replace or treat the caches that I had decided not to hide anymore for the time being and maybe even archive a few more of the ones I have out.

I am one person that will not complain at all if someone does minor maintenence on my caches. It helps me so much when it is done and is really apprecitated.

Which reminds me, I have a nm log on my tanks for the nano, necedah cache because of a full log and I totally forgot about going up there and replacing it last week when I was home. Will have to put that one at the top of my list for when I next get back home.

I really like the photo that is on there now. It really is a huge improvement over the white page.

I hope you keep this, or random pictures, on there. Perferably above the recent news.

I was looking at other state geocaching association websites today and one other thing that I feel would be an improvement and make the site look a little more professional is for the links instead of having them like they are now maybe we could make them into, umm not sure what to call them, buttons(?).

Even though I have complained about the looks I want to give my thanks for the hard work that is put into keeping the site up and going. It is a skill that is way over my head and you have all my admiration in being able to do it.

The front page is useless if people don’t even know that it’s there and the majority of Wisconsin geocachers doesn’y even know about the WGA.

I totally understand that other things are going on in peoples lives but it wouldn’t have taken but a minute more to have put up a nice fall picture of Wisconsin and all its colors when they took everything else off of it.

As for what I would want on there I am not really sure.

What I do know is the colors that are being used are dull. It needs to be brightened up. Random pictures of interesting things in the state would be good.

Being that the homepage is the first impression new people get of the site it needs to draw their attention and make them interested enough to take time to go farther into the sight.

As I have said before. Our home page does not encourage people to look farther into our site. It is rather plain and blah.. The big white blank page that has been up for a few days proves my point.

If I remember right it said in the review of the updates that he just added a column with the name “counties” but you still had to run the counties macro to get them into the county column.

The counties macro takes a lttile bit of work to get set up. Make sure you read all of the forum at gsak about it before using it so you have all the required downloads for it and where to put them all before you run the counties macro.

It isn’t just the new people. I recently had a three year veteran log a needs maintainence on one of mine he couldn’t find. There is more dnf’s on it then finds and because of his needs maintainence log and a couple of dnf’s before his it quickly got disabled by a reviewer.

Made a special trip to check on it and the container was exactly where I placed it origenally.

I drive truck and it seems like a I smash thousands of bugs each day with my windshield. 69 came from when I was trying to make a yahoo email account and the other 68 were used all ready.

Sounds to me like the cable was made by the cacher or bought at a hardware store. I haven’t seen any tags for sale with a good cable all ready attached to them.
