Sounds like a lot of fun. Good luck.
I think Lycoperdon did a big service by pointing out all of these that have been disabled for a long time. Maybe some of the caches around my area that have been disabled for a month, 2 months, even one that has been over 6 months on the disabled list will finally get something done with them.
Now if we could get Lycoperdon to go thru all the caches that have lots of dnf’s in a row and it pretty much looks like it is missing and mark them as needs archiving too that would be great. Since it looks like most of us are afraid to do it our selves.

It’s something like “Over a Bridge in Some Woods” and the map shows it as if it’s right in Poynette somewhere. From reading the logs, it sounds like a swampy area, maybe?
I guess we have done that one all ready. It got washed away in the floods a few months ago and he replaced it and changed the ratings. Guess we will have to go find it again since it is a little bit different now.

Curious as to where the 4/4.5 cache is in the area. I don’t think we have done that one yet.

What I really don’t like is the micro in a pine tree hide. I found some nice size caches hanging in pine trees. So why hide a micro in there? I thought caches were meant to be found not placed with the “I bet you can’t find this one” train of thought.
I also added a pair of ratcheting shears to my cache bag just for such hides.
Thats right instead of just not doing micros, instead go out and destroy someone elses hide. Real mature and I bet you would be the first person screaming if someone did that to yours or takes it.
I didn’t think it would take this long for a reaction like that. It is out of frustration that I think of pruning every pine tree I see. Rest assured, I would not actually do something like that. There are many cachers in my area that would vouch for me. Unfortunately, the cachers in this forum don’t personally know me, or I them. I hope I put your mind at ease a bit bugsmasher.
Well I don’t know you but I really didn’t think you would admit it in such a public forum if you did. But I hate you giving ideas to eveyone. Caches get moved around enough all ready, and get replaced when they can’t find them and this only gives them more ideas.
I kinda like the micros in the trees. Makes things a little more challenging.
As for why we hide them instead of ammo cans or such is that the micros are a lot cheaper to replace then the bigger containers when they disappear. Also they don’t get filled up with trash. I just hate having to go thru a big container full of junk to find the log book and the geocoin that is suppose to be in there. And it seems like more and more often I wish I had a pair of rubber gloves to wear while looking thru some of the stuff that is left behind.

SSHHHHHH. you shouldn’t be giving out all of our secrets.
We picked up a couple last summer at Delaney’s Surplus between sauk city and baraboo for $5. But it is hit and miss there, never know what they will have. While you are there make sure you do the cache that is hidden there and see all the neat creations there.
Or they have been flooded out of their homes too.
Be glad that people can get to your cache right now. I have eight caches that are either under water or blocked by water and it looks like it maybe a few weeks before I can get to them to check if they are still there.

instead of staring like we did last December in Door County at Europe Bay.
That sounds like us last fall when we were up north doing delorme pages when two black bears ran across in front of us.

Anyone see the news clip from Lake Delton? Unbelieveable! Houses floating down the river. They said after the ground and, I think they said hwy A, was washed out, Lake Delton dropped by more than 6ft. Never seen anything like it. At least not in Wisconsin.
No more Tommy Bartlett ski show for awhile. Hard to waterski when there is no water.
We had to temporaly disable 7 of our caches due to the flooding.
We just bought two mountian bikes and plan on geocaching with them soon.
If they are still available we would be willing to take them.
