It is not stopped. It is in a paused state for the time being.
I had been thinking about running for the board for a few years. This year it was placed in my plate. I got and unexpected email stating I was nominated for a position on the board. I graciously accepted. I have no clue Exactly what I am getting myself into but will do my best to serve the group (WGA).
I have worked with others in Scouting and at work. In the end we are all trying to accomplish the same thing in the end. It is part of life dealing with different opinions.
A lot of the time it is just asking people if they can help out. They may want to but are not sure who or how to go about. My self I have pitched in at some of the events when it time to clean up.
Getting out there and promoting the WGA is something I and my wife do quite often when approached by people.
Willingness to work with other to make it better for the whole.
Hello Jen920,
I thank whom ever nominated me to the board and who ever second it. This will be my first time on the board if elected. I am really not sure what to expect. I would hope I can help expand geocaching in the state of Wisconsin.
I have 11 hides with with a total of 55 favorite points. I have received one geocache spotlight from the WGA. I also have one Adventure Lab in Milton.
I hope to bring my almost 14 years of geocaching experience to the board to help improve the game, sport what ever you want to called in Wisconsin.
As a geocacher myself I like to educate others in what geocaching is and how it is played. It is fun watching them when they make their first find.
I have read over the proposed changes. They seem to be relatively straight forward and should be incorporated.
