Congratulations, Anne, on your newest milestone! You set out to make some finds on Tuesday. Impressive that you spent the day in fog, doing tough terrain, and stuck with it until you reached that milestone!
Congrats again!
Until the next one…Congratulations to each and every one of you!!!
Thanks for sharing your story, great log! I am still chuckling.
My heart goes out to you for your loss. Our pets play such an important role in our lives, no matter how subtle.
DianeCongrats on you milestone!
First, the stupid question is the one not asked. 🙂
People leave signature items in caches all the time. LegoLover use to leave Lego key chains, Lost Boy Scout leaves a compass, someone left poker chips. It is your choice what you want to leave and if you want to put money into it. There are brand name items left in the caches all the time as trade (i.e. batteries).
I can’t see it being a problem but I’m only one person.

B.Q.It looks like there are three different versions: 5000, 5000 DX, and 5000DLX. It isn’t a manual but has some help. Not sure what you are looking for in the manual, but this does have some tips.

Wow — for a numbers person this is an awesome tool! I found myself getting sucked in to the site…thanks!!
Yes, I’ve had my Meridian Gold flip out too! I was up in OshKosh one time and it turned off on me. I turned it back on and it was like it was fresh out of the box and I had to reinitialize it. ALL my waypoints were gone. Needless to say my caching day ended at that point and decided to go shopping!
I think it was an electrical charge that “shorted” it out and caused it.
Congrats, Jeff, on your newest milestone! It seems like it has been a while since I’ve seen you on the trails.
happy caching,
Diane
B.Q.Congratulations on your milestone!! Great seeing you recently at the All-a-Glow event — I look forward to seeing you on the trails again.
Congrats!!Moonlighting for Cache is another great one in the Kaukauna area. It’s a night cache by Gizfinder (I did it last night as my last cache of the night)
Brian,
As Albert Einstein once said, “Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.”
Thank you for all your time and energy in your role as an approver, as well as all the time you have dedicated being on the WGA Board.
I bet you have approved thousands upon thousands of caches over the period of time as an approver, helping advance this hobby as well as keeping the cacher’s safety in mind. I extend to you a HUGE thank you for it!
Diane
B.Q.(edited for punctuation)
😀 A big CONGRATULATIONS to the two of you!
Dave, no need to be without a GPSr! I’ll be more than happy to loan you my spare Magellan Meridian Gold. It is waterproof and floats! Not, er, that I know from experience and all. 😆
