If it is a battery issue then why does it only happen to EA and not to Professor? I’d try trouble shooting before buying a new battery.

When it occurred with mine I had spoken to a guy that does programming and knows palm pilots and the operating systems a lot. He had provided me the explanation that I posted above. Since I have been turning it off on my own and not time out mine hasn’t done it.

It could be a conflict in the programs. I would suggest deleting any programs you may not need (like Advant I think).

Another suggestion is to make sure you manually turn it off and not let it “power off” by itself with the timeout feature, that could be giving it a memory fault.
