Just found this map on MutherAndSun’s profile. Looks like they’re outlining the different counties with their sign hides. Maybe some creativity in that.
This looks easy but in reality I looked at the map more closely and many of these caches are not on single roads as they would appear…they are very often on several different roads where you are forced to snake up and down to get to them…
You would be correct. Though some are on direct roads, some are not and you have to many additional miles to get around to the caches. She is outlining the county but the county is not edged out by roads. In fact, some roads that are listed even on a GPSr are actually dirt roads or grass farm roads which are not serviced by the county and are full of holes.
Congratulations on your newest model and edition. 😉 They may not always work the way we want them to, but they work the way they were intended. 😀
Congrats, JimandLinda, on your newest milestone! Amazing the amount of finds AND so many great hides too! Look forward to seeing you again soon.
Rah, Rah! 😉

Now THAT log has got to be one of the best logs I’ve EVER read!! Its a good thing I wasn’t drinking coffee or some liquid as it would have been all over my computer scream from laughing!
NICE!!
I will most likely hit 10,100…that is if Dr. D doesn’t trip me and prevent me from finding caches on Saturday! 😉
Congrats on your milestone, and what a party they threw for you! 😉

What the h e double toothpicks do you people do besides geocache if you can find 10,000 of these things. It boggles my mind!!!
To asnwer your question somewhat on what I’ve done: work full time, changed jobs, earn an undergraduate degree, earn a Master’s degree, watched my son play in athletic events, workout at the gym, read (a lot), golf, sew, cook, bake, travel, dinner with friends, go to Brewer’s games….just to name some. 😉
Thanks everyone for the kudos! Its been a fun five years caching. I’ve enjoyed meeting and making new friends, challenging my body and mind on some caches, and getting to see aspects of the country (and abroad) that I probably would not have ventured out to see without geocaching. Its been a great eduactional lesson on many different levels including: how much weight can that log hold before it breaks; how far really is 30 feet; a strategy is the best plan of attach and if you “accidently” miss a cache it was probably intuition telling you not to go for it because 9 out of 10 times its a DNF; the timer on the camera stops working if the camera is sitting on a metal post (go figure — stil haven’t figured out why that is yet!); you can get poison ivy if you don’t know what it looks like; there are a lot of creative people out there.
Thanks everyone, see you on the trails! 😀
The message is clear in the bottle: CONGRATULATIONS!!! Congrats, JimandLinda, on your newest milestone! Looking forward to seeing you again soon either on the trail or at a pizza social or something. 😉
Congratulations, Russ & Sandy, on your milestone! I concur with Mr. Greenthumb: I, too, enjoy reading your logs! May you continue to enjoy the trek to the caches, and may they be without incidents. 😉
Congratulations to Lynn and Steve for a big milestone! Looking forward to seeing you two in August.
Congratulations on all your smiles, may you have many, many more of them too!

Now that I ran my query 😉 has anyone else noticed that the website is up and all is good. ❓ 😀
The boards said that the queries are not turned on yet..there may be some delay.
They’re not telling you the full truth perhaps to prevent getting overwhelmed. ❗ I received my query, spun it, and getting ready to head out on the bike. 😀
May everyone enjoy their July 4th!
Now that I ran my query 😉 has anyone else noticed that the website is up and all is good. ❓ 😀

Anybody watch the video? No kidding — all data could be lost: pictures, profiles, etc. Hopefully geocaching.com did a back up at some point! 🙄
What video? Hey BQ, when we going caching again…I suppose after Groundspeak comes back up but really?
The video from Fu’s link. If you read the article there is a news video that talks about the outage.
As for caching….heck I don’t know! I hope you’re planning on attending the West Bend events in August.
