Not the first cache at that site:

    Ivan Ain’t Comin’

We found it back in June of 2002.

I’ve had good luck with the “Straw and Knot” method:

    Straw and Knot

It even works at 4:00 AM with a *very* agitated wife. 😆

Looks like it is available on Netflix Streaming (and DVD).

Just put it in my queue now.

I’m in the process of having a cache reviewed where a WP is less than 528 feet away from the final of another cache. These two points however, are separated by a river, where the nearest crossing is about 3/4 of a mile away. Considering this, would it be acceptable to leave my cache as is, or should I move the WP in question? At current, my cache has been temp. disabled by a reviewer, and I just put a reviewer note in with this consideration. I seem to remember there were two caches separated by this very same river that came within about 200 feet of each other, but I know that I may have to throw that precedent away if need be.

    Speaking as a former reviewer…..

Bringing your pending geocache issues into the public forums usually doesn’t help anything. As a matter of fact, it might actually further inflame the situation…. and the reviewer has the upper hand. My advice is to work privately with the reviewer.

No, no cool jumpsuits. The park naturalist pictured here used this as a tactic to help keep the ticks at bay.

I myself used Permetherin treated clothes and I didn’t have any problems at all.

Pulling garlic mustard didn’t take too long and it made a really positive impact at the park. We had two groups that came out, and after about 90 minutes this is the pile of garlic mustard we plucked from the ground:

You can re-size pictures using “Paint”, but it is a one-at-a-time, and somewhat of a manual process.

A reasonable free software that I have on all of my computers to do some simple image manipulation is called Irfanview

Lots of on-line help in using it. It allows you to re-size and change type if you wish.

Nope. The address should remain the same.

I would also guess that the look, feel and operation of the site will be largely the same as well.

In fact, you might not even notice that anything has changed.

My laptop at work doesn’t have any serial ports. As such I have two different USB to serial adapters and they both work pretty good.

Also, some desktops actually have a serial port on the motherboard as a row of header pins. You need a special cable to bring the serial port to the back of the PC. I built a cable for my new home office PC and it works well.
