It is looking like temp-hiding day is going to take place on Sunday Aug. 24th, at 9:00 AM.
If anybody (including Jeff) is interested, please PM me for further details.

My cousin’s daughter had open heart surgery just after she was born. She is now entering her freshman year in high school. She enjoys showing off her scars.
Did they say that they would include a bridge in Brooklyn too?
Hey, It’s a great weekend to stick around home!
I thought I’d give it a try.
Right Click Then Save Link As
Hosted on my personal bit of web space.
Often, you get a little bit of “free webspace” from your internet service provider. You can put it there and then link to it.
Or, if it is geocaching related, you could e-mail it to any board member and they can save it off to the WGA site and could link to it there.

OK, I kow how to put graphics and photos on a cache page, and I know how to upload a photo so that I can use it, but how do I up load a graphic I made so that I can use it on a cache page?
Is there a special program I should be using? I don’t have anything fancy, and I can’t print it out then scan it.
Thanks.
For the cache page you want to use the image on…
1. Go to that cache page (logged in, as the owner), and in the upper-right corner, you will see a selection “Upload Images”. Go ahead and click that, then upload your image to the site.
2. Once the upload is complete, it will show a “smaller” version of your image on the page. Click on that image and it will go to normal size.
3. On the normal-sized window of the image, you will then be able to copy the image address (url) out of the title bar. It will look something like this: http://img.geocaching.com/cache/fb920198-34b6-4557-b6c8-e0a16376e23a.jpg
4. From there, you can use the image on whatever cache page you want.
Hope this helps.
I’m really curious as to what was lost.

I bought a few t-shirts for the campout and never attended so I never got my shirts, yet I am happy that I contributed money to the organization. I trust the board to use my donation and any future donations wisely and I feel that a logo/brand/icon that I am proud to display is a wise use of those funds.
Your shirts are in my basement waiting for you. Are you coming to the picnic?
I have a 76 Cs and a 60Csx.
They have the same size screen, and virtually the same software inside. They have the same connections on the back and accept the same software.
Pros: 76CS
Floats (supposedly, haven’t tested)
More memory (128Mb)Cons: 76CS
Buttons on the “top” of the unit. Hands tend to be in the way of the screen when pressing buttons.
Too wide to comfortably fit in my hand while geocaching.Pros: 60CSx
Upgradable memory ( cheap: 2gB < $20)
Buttons on bottom
Narrower (easier to hold)
Belt-Clip includedCons: 60CSx
auto-routing seem a little more “wonky” than the 76, but I have made no direct comparisonHere’s what you do….
You can log the travel bugs into the event. You can do this by bringing up the cache page, select “Post A Log”, then select “Leave Note”. Type a little note, something like “Bug Drop”, then at the bottom of the screen will be another drop-down box with the various bugs.
If you go to the event, then you can hand off the bugs to another geocacher in person. Then, they can grab the bugs out of the event.
If you don’t make it to the event, then you can simply grab the bugs back out of the event using the tracking numbers on them.
It’s that simple.
Cool!
I’m going to include this info in the presentation I’m giving this weekend.
Thanks!
Lots & lots of rain (over 3″ so far), but no serious flooding at the “Tie” household.
