Go back and try this:
Choose ONLY “That is Active”
It might be confusing the PQ when choosing the “Have found” and “Haven’t found”. The PQ will automatically pull ALL ACTIVE Earthcaches that you have and have not done. I ONLY use those choices when I want to specifically filter out the ones I have done already.
Also…. when I ran it from my zip code, I also chose the “STATE”. That wya it will pull Wisconsin only and not Illinois.
Hope that helps!!

Has it been a year already??? Incredible!!
Happy B-day to the thread and all it’s stealers! 😉
Way to go on 600!! 1000 is just around the corner!!
I know when I run PQ’s sometimes I don’t have the right checkboxes checked and I have to do it all over. I just ran one and it came over just fine.
My mistake in the PQ is usually where it asks for the TYPE of cache and I choose Earthcaches BUT I forget to move the dot from ANY TYPE to SELECTED TYPE after choosing Earthcache.

And how long did it take you to log them…..?
Congrats!
I’ll get these 12 logged right away Marc LOL I know those 61 from Indiana took FOREVER!! LOL
THANKS everyone! could not have done it without my the Team members of Team BenDigiFu
benny7210, Digital Dan and myself. we had one incredible time visiting AZ, UT, CA and NV over this long weekend. Incredible Earthcaches they have out there!! 4 of which were 5 on terrain…..nope didn’t do those. LOL Can’t 4wheel in a rented PT Cruiser LOL….Can’t say Bob didn’t TRY though!!
Looks good on here!! Happy to see it up and running. When I get home, I have a few pics to share on the EC’s we did in NV, UT and CA. some incredible sight out here.

Hey Fu, I have three mountain dulcimers! Maybe we can start a WGA band, LOL. Create some kind of cache with a logging requirement of playing “Rock of Ages” (in honor of our least favorite kind of hide!)
3?? KEWL!! Are they regular Moutnain dulcimers or hammered??? I was so excited about getting my first. Do you give lessons?? I need lessons BAD!!! LOL Would be a long way to drive to learn 😀
I’m all for a stringed band. I need a case for this thing though. Not the easiest to lug around. I can manage “Rock of Ages a Tribute to our Least Favorite Caches” Heck.. I’m trying to learn “Music Box Dancer” by ear!!

It was a bear getting tuned in. I bought a handmade on while in Colorado in December. Now if I could get UN-lazy and start reading music instead of playing by ear. LOL I’ll call upon Frizz to fix `er right up then 😉
Way to go you guys…and on a Creepy cache. I did that one a while back. It gave me the willies! LOL
You’ll be in the millennium club in no time!

Stop hiding behind one cache listing website and you’ll find that each and every comment you made is WRONG! There’a a lot more to geocaching than GC.com!

UMMMMMM…Why? DOes the WGA HAVE to be ALL about what GC.com???? I myself have a few Location less Caches listed on Terracaching.com and do have a regular listed terracache that’s been found only twice.
So what you are saying that if a board member does not do any of the above items or doesn’t know of anyone else that does things, it can’t be discussed here? Cuz that’s how I read that statement.
I didn’t mean anything against other types of caches and accept and sympathize with comments and agree there is more to caching than GC.com and more to it than the WGA. I don’t feel my comment was necessarily wrong or right. It was just a “personal” observation of mine, as an EC Master and NOT as a Board Member. I would just like to (as a Board Member),ASSIST with getting something added is all. I am very willing to help anyone with desires to make changes or additions. EC’s are just a passion of mine is all
How about just shortening that forum title to something like “Specialty Caches” or “Non-Traditional Caches”. Or if someone has another idea for a title, taht would be kewl too. they are a bit less descriptive, but it would fit on the tab a bit better!!! 🙂
Something else we EC Masters can always consider….why not just create a site away from the WGA? We could do that too. Not as handy, but a possibility. One I had thought of in the past, to do on my own.
Some things to think about. Thanks bunches for your comments and input. 🙂

Since this is a unique cache style listed and approved outside GC.com, how about a category titled: Earthcaches, Virtual Caches, Locationless Caches, Moving Caches, Temporary Caches, Vacation Caches, Benchmarks, Letterboxes, Cache Quests, Task Caches, etc.
Whooooooaaaa….that’s a long one!!! Not sure that would fit on a tab. LOL
** Vituals can’t be created anymore…Earthcaches sorta fall into that one, so drop Virtual.
**Locationless…. went to Waypointing and I have no clue who participates in that, so drop that one off.
**GC.com doesn’t allow Moving caches, though they use to. So drop that one, another one gone.
**Cache quest and Task caches, is that a CITO???? Hmmmm
**Temps…we’re not going there. LOL Another drop
**Vacation caches are no longer allowed….bye bye!
**Letterboxes and benchmarking are already part of GC.com, though they do have partnership elsewhere.
Sooooo. that leaves just Earthcaches!!! 😀
Wow… and I rationalized all that after being up for 27 hrs and working a 12 hr shift in there!! Plus I’m a blond Hare! ROFLMBO! 😆

I proposed this last Sept…it wasn’t a good idea then…I wonder if it is now? This is one of the very reasons I ran for the BOD…I wanted to find out why this was a bad idea and who shot it down….that’s assuming there was a discussion about it. Sorry this is a sore subject for me.
I feel it is a very good idea also… lemme see if we can get this up for more discussion with the Board. With Ralph and myself, maybe we can shed some more light on the idea and how it will be utilized. I feel that Earthcaches, being specific/specialty caches, that it would help to keep discussion from getting lost amongst other threads.

Proposal
– Create a new forum named “Cache Hiding Questions” in the category “Hiding and Hunting”
– Subtitle of forum would be “Questions about hiding a cache? Use this forum to get answers from the WI cache reviewers and WGA members.”
– Forum would contain a sticky post with tips/FAQ (or link to tips) when hiding and submitting various types of caches (traditional, multi, earth, etc.). TBD – Who would create the initial list of tips/FAQ, and who would then maintain this information… hopefully some of the reviewers would pitch in as in the long run it should mean fewer one-on-one email questions for them.
Ralph.. I think the proposal is well put together, but missing the point of the Earthcache specific forum. As I see it, it is a place for full discussion of Earthcaches including creating a good quality EC, finding places to create them, discussion about having visited other EC’s in other states/countries, problems, concerns, ideas, gripes, etc.
As for the tips and initial lists, I would LOVE to get together with my fellow Earthcache Masters and create these thigs. There is good info on the Earthcache(dot)org site. There are some grey areas I would like to talk with the Org about too.
I do realize that others migth say “Well what about a Multi or Traditional forum?” My answer would be that THAT is what GC.com & Groundspeak is all about. Earthcaches are not part of GC.com but a joint venture with Geology(dot)com (The Geological Society of America) and those associated with them, including the National Parks Service.

Get better soon. I am sure Frizz can help ya with ideas for cache off 2 feet, once the weather gets better!! Guess we need to get MORE wheelchair caches out soon!
Fu
Congrats on your accomplishment!!!
Hoping to join you soon! I have the states an the caches (83 Total when I get them all logged) Just need to reinstate my one and get another out.
I can’t wait to get out to do those you have created. I find that these Earthcaches are much more gratifying than most regular caches, as we all get to see and learn so much!! Quite the incredible earthly things you ahve seen on your adventures, I am sure!!
Meet you on the Platinum Earthcache Master platform soon!!
