Geez Ralph.. and I thought you and I had found some interesting ones when we went caching over the boarder last year. It’s a shame.. takes just a few bad cachers/caches to reuin it.

I can say that Ralph and I DID find a few great hides in MN. The DVD Exhcange was an excellent use of a cache container.

digger00..where are you from??? NO it was not waste of money. It’s not that complicated once you’ve done it a coupld times. of course there are always technical challenges..like me and my computer!!

Not sure if there are paperless classes coming out sometie soon, but depending on where you are located, maybe we can get you some help!!

in reply to: Anyone what to adopt a cache? #1770300

Wow… looks like an awesome area, but bit too far for me to go for maintenance for me. Will definitely go for this one if I ever get up that way though.

That’s OK Justin. I gotchya covered. Hope you enjoyed being “Tied up” ROFMALO

The messages can be sent via Yahoo messenger. Was not sure if you knew that. What we can do is Send the reminder with the “TOPIC of the Nite” info on it, that way people have time to get questions prepared, etc.

    NOTE TO NEW MESSENGER USERS:

If you have not participated in a conference of some type, in the passt, they can be fast paced. You can always look back at recent history to get what was said while you are in chat. If you need a WHOLE chat…I can do cut and paste in an e-mail Word file.

in reply to: Changing cache sizes? #1770233

I know I have changed caches sizes in the adopted ones I have. Sometimes you just find that another size would suit the area better. I often times make a note on the cache page that I have decided to do so. I have also changed the location, if there were muggle issues. What I did too, is rename the cache & redate placement, which forces it to come up as a NEW cache.

Examples of mine: Happy Medium is now Happy Medium-Revisited with a new location and a welcome to those who have found it previously to refind and relog.

Bucky’s Hideaway is now Extreme Makeover – Home Edition: Bucky’s Hideaway with a new local and container and the same welcome to refind and relog.

I always give credit for the original cache hide to the original cacher too. To me, I think it makes a statement that you have opted to adopt and help out fellow cachers!!

    Hope this helps!!

I was wondering also, but thought I’d be the only one.
