That was awesome……you did an EXCELLENT job and you didn’t look one bit nervous 😉 I guess it just comes naturally! Always nice to see some different faces in the news and on TV!!

I do a lot of geocaching teaching and talks, in front of people and video cameras, & does get a little easier, but then again it’s not for TV!! You are a lot more brave than me!! Your presentation was GREAT…hope you get more chances like that!! A fine representation of not only the WGA but Geocaching itself!!

knoffer…. what on EARTH were you thinking, going out there by yourself AND at nite!! Congrats on the goal and you MUST be addicted to attempt such a feat by yourself. No way in heck I’d ever do that and “I” know the route… been there twice!

    Way to go!!

Great seeing some new names and faces in the news. Thanks for the link!

Went over to gc.com and looked at the lower right “In The News”. Seems like the midwest is getting the spot light. Two articles from Rockford, IL and one from Eau Claire, WI!! Way to go Midwest!!

in reply to: Magellan gold Flip Out needing re-initialization #1766633

I have a Magellan also, but have had no problems. A co-worker came in this morning and said his Magellan is stuck in a loop. Just as it is acquiring signals it kicks back to the initial screen asking those pesky questions it asks when you first turn it on.

He’s going to tyr hooking into his PC and seeing if he can get the initial downlaods again to see if it solves the issue.

Technology…..it’s great when it works!! 😆

in reply to: Rechargeable batteries #1766602

I am not 100% sure which kind I use, but I know thye are NOT the ones for cameras. Mine usually last thru a FULL day +. When you put a full charge battery in, it won’t show that way either….usually more like a little more than 3/4’s full…..and when they die?????? They DIE!!! At least you re nt tossing battereis out all the time. I have 4 sets I rotate thru and carry them with me all the time, plus a set of regualrs fer etremem back up….`cause ya never know 😉

in reply to: It’s Not About the Numbers! (Or is it?) #1766450

The site is pretty darn nifty I think!! As much as I HATED statistics class, I love look at stats of all types and THIS site does a great job! Found out, now I have to get BACK to Missoutri to get 2 more caches to claim the state… A running joke with me and Digital Dan that we have to have at least 3 to claim the state. LOL I have only 2 in Wyoming too, but we got 2 ft of snow dumped on us in May and I was digging on an MIA, then my camera disk went to heck and all the info on my Virtual went out with it. Oh well…. such is the life pf a Geocacher.

Great job on this site…. something more to look at other than just a total #.!! Thanks bunches!!
