I am not aware of any who do that, especially in a large quantity. Often times we do smaller classes and have to borrow them from fellow cachers. If anyone knows different, it would be great to know. Always good to know the resources out there.

I probably read up to 75% of the posts. I ALWAYS do if it comes over as a DNF. If they are easier caches, I don’t always, since many people do a cut and paste post. My more physically challenging or more difficult hides. I love to read what people have to say.

Well… since this date is drawing closer and I have not had any takers on helping me out, I will have to push the date into august. It looks as if Wausau is the place of choice, with 66% of the vote.

At the moment the schedule is open, but not sure if we would be up north that weekend. If not.. I’ll be happy to come and be sneaky.. I mean hide some caches. 😉 I’ll let ya know, for sure, as the date draws closer.

    Jim..

I’m at work and unable to send it from here. Go to this cache and pull the bookmark. You’ll see it there!!

Thanks Goodness you are OK. That kind of stuff is on my mind all the time when out driving! Your Guardian Angel was defiantly watching over you. Hope those in the accident were OK though!!

All you need to do to find rock lobster is bring a new logbook and place it in a waterproof bottle (wide mouth would be best) with a clasp around it and hook it to the mooring. You just have to find the mooring to claim the find if you replace the container. When I found it the cache was attached to the mooring with a caribiner…sounds like that part is still intact.

Thanks LB7! I’ll have to look back at the logs and see for sure what the issue is. If the container is missing, I’ll have to figure out WHAT to use/bring that is attachable and waterproof.

….make up a hit list of caches to do in the area, especially for those of us that are staying for the weekend, so if anyone has any suggestions about other caches in in the area that we should do, please give me some suggestions!!

We just ran a query for the area. Load `em up and we’ll run with it. We did a few on our trip down, but there are plenty more. We can look at an area and see what’s closest and go from there. So run a query for like up to 50 miles out and for the closest 100+. THAT should cover it! LOL

I wanted to tackle “Rock Lobster” but it seems to be disabled/ missing at this time. Hopefully it will be up and running by then.

I have found numerous, well hide caches with what I would consider as garbage in them. Bottle caps, a smelly clam shell from the beach, chewed up golf balls, an ordinary rock??

What I have been doing for some time now, is leaving numerous small items and take nothing, if a cache is looking shabby. The reason?? It’s for the KIDS.. the little ones, not the BIG ones. To have a little cacher open a container and find “Nothing”, then imagine their sad little faces. How disappointing. I love those little erasers, so I leave a number of them, or items from my previous events….ANYTHING but bottle caps and smelly clam shells. I carry a small pack and fill it with lots of little things, so I have something for event the smllest of caches.

My favorite place to shop for these things are Oriental Trading catalog online, the Dollar Store or any store with a clearence section (Our Walgreens has that once in a while). If all else fails….quarters work great!!

Willing to chip in a some money for food: yes $10

Like Jeremy stated, it’s a drive back to lil otters so why not just have a nice celebration dinner at a restaurant, but up to you Linsey!!

We had our Gauntlet survival dinner at a nice place…somewhere don’t remember where, but it was nice and relaxing… Did someone say BEER?

I will need some help hiding a few temp caches (date and time to be determined).

    Thanks in advance.

Jeff… toss out the date and time and I will let ya know for sure. I do have that weekend available, as I am not going back to NY as planned. The 13th is a bit busy with my lil event & other obligation for the Dunes, but I have the July 14th OPEN!!!
