I just placed 8 caches yesterday (for a total of 3+ miles walking wheeewh) and they are of various sizes. Some places are jsut not suitable for a regular, but just had to bring you to them. Hope they all get approved soon!! I’r rather have smalls to regulars…so… did my best!

If you are looking for one like I and many others have on our profile page, then go to this link:

    US Map link:

US Map for logging states you have cached in

Anybody else have any other suggestions for a place to hold this event. Prefer a place with wi fi, but if that doesn’t work, we can wing it!!

Still looking at the Sheboygan/Kohlar. My concer is, though the times are from 530 to 8 or 9, that depending on the distance, some ppl may not get there til 630 and we’ll have barely gotten the ball rolling.

    Comments? Questions? Concerns? Ideas????

    Search the dollar stores.

A side question that I always debate… When you buy swag like this for caching, do you remove it from the packaging before stocking your caches or do you just toss it in, blister packs and all?

For me it depends on the packaging it comes in and if that package allows me to fit it IN the cache. Some items are definately OVER package, so then I pull them out. Or I take it out and put it into a zippy lock bag, especially if it might be something that could rust, get stained (i.e. a Beanie Baby) or might be a collectable. Also depends on my mood and if my hands are getting frozen off in sub zero weather. Though, I usualy prep my swag before a cache run. Wihter caching I tend to just sign logs and not trade.

Another side note – many times the contents of a cache is sadly picked over or depleted. That’s when getting a good stock of inexpensive swag helps, so I can take a bag full and leave a number of items and take nothing – Like Lostby7 does. I do that because I think about those sad lil faces 😥 😥 😥 of kids that become disappointed when there is nothing in there.

I agree, the Dollar stores are great. I find some of my things at our local Walgreens in the bargin bin, especially after a holiday or season. Found a ton of stuff for a quarter the end of last summer. the other place I shop from is a catalog called Orintal Trading Co. I get their catalogs all the time and order online. click below and it should take ya there… if I did it right LOL

When you are at your (hospital) Department meeting, discussing that the keys for the Crash Carts are in Magnetic Key Holders on each cart and you accidently think out loud…… “Kewl!!! Geocaches in house!!”.

Hey I made them all laugh!! LOL 😆

Ok.. found a date I can use, now working on the place yet. I submitted the event and chose Thursday early evening, July 13th. Look for:

    Event: Perplexed Puzzle Cachers Unite!!

Agree… soooooooooo many micros and such. Unfortunately for my Fishin’ Hole series, the area were limited in size so they had to be small, except for one.

Have a series of caches in Manitowoc I am working on and I am going to TRY to get stuff that is at least a small. Again, limited in some areas do to “Mugglability” Is that a word?? If not is SHOULD be. Have to make up a Cachers Dictionary LOL 😀

I will not be camping. I will be getting there in the early morning.
Can any one tell me about how long I can figure on the driving time
from the Manitowoc area? With this being planned for late July the
weather can be very hot so take along lots of water. So you do not
get dehydrated. Boy I can not wait for July 22 to come.

I think it took Me, Jeff (GeoPink) and Dan (really I’m Not Lost) about 3 hrs. It’s down near the Dells somewhere. LOL this should be interesting to find after a 12 hr shift then 3 hrs in the dark. 😛

Ok.. I real suck at puzzle solving, but I am great at Critical thinking. So how can THAT be!!??!! That’s why I am trying this Perplexed Puzzle Cachers event, to learn a little bit more about how to go at solving puzzles. I know that I THINK too hard and oversee the easy stuff. So a puzzle event would be kewl, to learn a bit more about how you all figure them out. 😉

I call dibs on Marc_45140 as my caching partner for that day LOL
