I wonder if the influx of e-mails is the problem and to deal with it they archive instead of putting up for adoption. Once in a while I will respond to an earthcache answer submission, but I believe i put on one cache page that I would onnly respond back IF the answers were incorrect.

I also have to question group caching where the group finds 75-100 caches in 6-8 hours in an area they never cached in before, or anywhere for that fact. Looking at the conservative side of 75 caches in 8 hours, that comes out to one find every 6.4 minutes. It’s impossible.

This is something we’ve wondered, too. Our personal record for one day is 40 and we busted our humps for 11 hours to get those. How anyone can claim 100 or more in one day is beyond us. Are we just missing something?

The most I have found with a small group of 6 was 108 in some 14 hrs I think it was. It takes a very dense area of caches and a general plan of attach prior to going. If there are just 2 of us, one navigates the other drives. We are always looking ahead at what we want to go for. We often times waiver from the our first idea, but always reconstructing the route. I know some people use streets and trips to plan out the route first. It’s how we did the initial 62 EarthCaches across all of Indiana in 3.5 days. That was some 1800+ miles of driving and A LOT of walking!!
