PCfrog…the first pic is that of “our” parents.. the second is the outcome!!!???!! ROFLMBO!! Something tells me I probably look a little better in that tutu than you!! LOL

I see it this way PCfrog…an organization is creative because of ALL the people involved WITHIN it. WE, the members, ARE the WGA. Soooooooo ponder away! I am of the same nature!!
Maybe we’re twins. Hmmm a frog and a bunny… twins..LOL That would be an interesting sight to see!

This is my concern a distinct division among members would be created. As FuFu pointed out it could even be broken up into 3 groups: the Rich, the middle class, the poor.
Goodness…I didn’t think of it that way. I definately would NOT want to split up a group like that. Was just thinking that depending on the items a cacher would want they could get a different level.
Glad we moved on to the “Benefits & Objects” idea instead!! Thanks PCfrog!

But I personally fully disagree. To charge a membership fee for premium members then turn around and spend such monies on letters, bumper sticker, premium member coin, and the a like defeats part of the purpose of the fee unless the fee is going to be very exorbitant. Secondly what else are Premium members going to want for their added contribution? Premier parking and camping spots, designated tables at shelters, special name tags from everyone else.
OK.. maybe it’s what we are CALLING it. Sometimes it’s all the wording or name. I see the dilema PCfrog. That does make a lot of sense. If we offered a Premier membership, then people should receive a “Benefit” NOT an “Object” Or maybe “Benefits & Objects”
Maybe something like {JUST tossing out ideas}:
1. 20% Discounts on WGA products via CafePress. {or whatever % the BOD might think they could do}
2. Work with Army surplus stores around the state, to offer a Discount to WGA Premier members.
3. A Discount when purchasing WI GeoCoins.
4. Maybe the creator of the site can come up with Premier options which can be available on this site, as with GC.com.Some ideas which provide a Benefit & an Object if they choose!! Don’t know if any of these are possible but if we don’t ask we won’t know…RIGHT??
Heck.. I’ll pay extra for Spellcheck option. ROFLMBO Ok ok.. I WON’T go there again!!
{Edited because I DIDN’T use WORD & Spellcheck. BunnyFuFu is lazy.. it’s her day off}

Don’t be hard on yourself….we all forget to do stuff. At least it wasn’t something like the WHOLE site NOT renewing at the begining of the year and losing ALL the information and an entire database.
This is a great site!!! Thanks for building!! And Jeremy…thanks for maintaining it.

Wow… that was fast. Just ask and we receive. Thanks Jeremy!! So is it something the site will do on its own now?? Or will you have to manually do it each year???
Wholey……that is unreal!! NOW I have seen everything. LOL Thanks for sharing this one. The crazy things people do Huh!!??!!
Would be interesting to learn all the ins and outs of this site. Though I would hate to see any members fall off the list, it would be a more accurate count of active or new od somewhat active members, if IDs fell of the list if not renewed by like the end of February every yr.
More accurate information & numbers, yes… useful…. hmmmm have to think about a second. Reduces clutter for sure and gives other fellow cachers a more up-to-date listing. That could be helpful if someone, especially new cachers are looking for other local cachers to contact/cache with. Nothing like being disappointed in finding someone close by, just to find out they longer participate in the sport
I like the idea of an optional Premium membership. As I benchmarked other caching sites, none seem to charge for a membership, but then they don’t offer a package like you have suggested either. Myself, I love having items related to my hobby, such as pins, patches, bumper stickers, t-shirts, sweatshirts etc.
A slight twist on the Premium membership might be to offer serveral levels. The cacher can then choose the “Package/Level” he or she would like, depending on the items offered. It doesn’t have to be numerous levels, but maybe at least 3???
GREAT idea/concept Cathunter!!
Looking at Paperless class March 11th, in Two Rivers Gypsy Rose. Not too far for you. It’s great to see classes all over the state.
Thanks to all of you who put these on.
Gotta find ONE MORE cacher….get it to that century mark. Why??? Dunno…. just because I like even #’s I guess! I know I know…it’s not about the #’s
Sundays for me are good too, especially since I don’t have family around here, except Mom, and we don’t have kids. I never know what to do with a sunday ohterwise. I know a lot of people have things going on, on Saturdays, especially in the warmer months. Then again we do have families who attend services and it is difficult to make stuff on Sundays.
Great input though, helps in the decision making process!!
Thanks everyone!!
PS Had a great time at the XL Sunday event!
Waaaahoooooo Gotta love all those trailing zeros after that “1” Way to go!! I think there will be a number of cachers reaching the millenium club this yr!!
Congrats again!!
Hope to be there Bec…if I’m off work that weekend.
Got the GeoEgg-stravaganza Scramble – GCT6KJ approved for March 25. Gonna have a timed- event for those who wish to enter for prizes!
Didn’t get to see it. Working!! Not event sure if we can get it up here in TR. Hopefully there will be a link where we can watch the video stream??????? Congrats anyway!! Bet you all did GR8!
