congrats.. you must be running with Astro-D lol. Onward and upward!
Congrats!! 800 is awesome. I’m knocking at the door of 200. Just need a day off and I’ll be there.
You know you are addicted:
1. When you walk thru Wal-mart and say “Oooh that would make an EXCELLENT cache container.
2. When you carry you GPS EVERYWHERE…. and I mean EVERYWHERE.
3. When your son/daughter is making plans for a wedding or shower and you ask them to change the date becasue there is a WGA event that weekend.
I contacted the cachers who picked up the TB and moved it on. They gave me the suggestion of just grabbing it back from them, log it in and out of the caches, attach the pics then let them know when I drop off/log it back into the final drop off cache. They were very helpful and I expeditiously got things logged and pics attached and returned it that same nite. Wrote back and thanked them for all the help. Guess all ya gotta do is ask.

Ok… so I go on vacation, grab a TB & coin, move it on, but don’t get home and a chance to log for a day. Someone has since grabbed and moved the TB and coin on. NOW WHAT??? Would not be a big deal, but the TB I had, purposely went on vacation with us, to get the pics the little girls wanted, of all the fun things their TB did.
I wrote to the people grabbing and moving the TB and asked if they could log it back into where I had it so I can attach the pics etc?? Are people THAT greedy about the NUMBERS, that they don’t have the courtesy to give a person a few days to log???
I wrote right ON the log that we were on vacation and from WI, soon to go home. WHAT THE HECK??? It’s a freakin’ GAME for Pete’s sake… not a ticket to heaven for the most TB’s listed in your profile!!!
OK… so I am having post vacation depression and venting, but..come on already. It’s called courtesy!!
Uh oh!! I wasn’t suppose to take that lil Bell out of the area. Didn’t realize it til I looked at the OTHER insert in the bag. Was not suppose to leave the area til after July 16th. So… left a msg asking for an addy to return it otherwise I would not put it out til after July 16th.
Mine took maybe a few days to get approved from the EarthCache people, then it took maybe 5 days or so to get converted to the GeoCaching site.
We drove INTO the mess up near Merrill and Tomahaw last nite. Just as they put out tornado warnings. Got home at 0300 and drove thru a MESS in GB. Got to Two Rivers and the roads were barely wet. Hmmm.. Now I gotta go water I thought, but got a good downpour this evening!
darci…… e-mail me at [email protected] so I can get your e-mail address and I can send you info to answer your questions.
Thanks!! Anne
I’ve come up with ideas that I think would make it a lot of fun. We currently have 2 GPSrs and 2 maybe 3 sets of 2-way radios. I can ask a cpl of my local GeoFriends if we could borrow a cpl more GPSrs for the day. Working with a group of 10 is a nice size and a cpl teams can be made as well as having we 2 facilitators.
Fun stuff like this…..I can come up with ideas rather quick!
Need to know:
1. Do any of these people have physical limitaions?
2. How much time were you looking at?
3. Were you looking at having lunch first or doing this after lunch?
4. Are you ok with Rain or shine??I’m at work right now so you can communicate via this DB for the day, if you like. You can e-mail me with your e-mail addy and I can give you my phone number if you’d like to chat live.
Hey… interesting enough….I just did a search and they have GeoTeaming Ideas for Team Building!!

Is there a typical format that you use for team building activites?
I do this onece a year here, but was involved with a year long Re-engineering project and we did TONS of team building stuff. I wour for Aurora Medical Center and we are required to attend teams training/refresher type classes. I will do a little bit of research if you like to get a format down for you.
Called my GeoCaching buddy, Digital_Dan, who works for GE Medical systems. He said he’d help out too. He, too, has had experience with teams training!

So, how many people would that be in total?
We have a group of 10 people. We are trying to find a “team building” activity.Do any of you own a GPS receiver?
No- we would be interested in renting. When do you want to do this (weekend)?
We would be intereseted in doing it on Thursday, July 7th in the afternoon.

I might actually get good at it! LOL E-mail me if I can help in some way. I might be able to think of a few ways to do teamwork with this. I will be avalable in the afternoon. My session runs from 0730-1000.. a refresher course. I am in TR/Manitowoc.
