Oh no it’s not “missing” anywhere, you guys are doing a great job with the event stuff so far, there is just usually a lot more talk on the forums, t-shirt designs, etc. and I am not seeing much of that stuff at all this year.
I have been doing double duty with school and work in the last year or two and haven’t had as much time to keep up with the caching side of things over here… I relied heavily on the dedicated forum section for the camp-out in previous years to collect all that info in a “one stop shop.” and I thought I was missing something this year while looking for it!
Is there any more campout info anywhere for 2012? It seems like its only a few weeks away, and haven’t seen much of anything anywhere..
WGA campout weather has been great the last few years!
Except for the flooded and muddy campsites and Bong last year…
and the rain drenched Night Caching at High Cliff…
and the tent destroying wind at High Cliff….
and the every night of rain at Governor Dodge…
and the….OK. I’ll shut-up now.
😉Those prices ARE good, I’ve been thinking of upgrading my Colorado for a while, since the wheel is going flaky.
About REI dividend; anything on sale does not usually count, so keep that in mind when you are figuring relative prices.

It’s NOT photoshopped! Those are two real photos! It’s just his classic “sit in the front of the canoe and hold up the big bass” pose! I have more photos, different pose. 👿
Did not mean to offend. I just thought it was kind of funny that he looked almost identical in both pictures, and thought I’d crack a joke. I’ll be glad to remove them.
Other than the time we went deep sea fishing, the largest thing I have ever caught might not even qualify as bait for those monsters!
Those images seem suspect to me, same pose, same hat, almost as if some photoshop foul play was involved…so I took the liberty of running the images through a decryption…and found some interesting results…

I’m not too sure about the first two…but the last one seems pretty obvious!
1) Go to the Dollar Store.
2) Buy a handful of glowsticks.
3) Now it glows!8)
Nice! We’ll have to make a trade for that one!
Event page is up if anyone was still waiting for this one…GC2R688

Bilbo: …it’s mine… my own… my precious…
Gandalf: Precious? It’s been called that before, but not by you.
Bilbo: Oh, what business is it of yours what I do with my own FTF?
Gandalf: I think you’ve had that cache quite long enough.
Bilbo: You want it for yourself!
Gandalf: BILBO BAGGINS! Do not take me for some conjuror of cheap tricks! I am not trying to rob you of your FTF. I’m trying to help you sign the logWell done! And yes, it goes something like that.
That would be the old stinkeroo!
If you do decide to make it, I’d be glad to help with setting up a tent, hauling gear, etc. to make things easier for you. I’m sure I’m not the only one either! If you don’t feel like you would enjoy yourself with the extra hassle, then don’t worry about it, but just wanted to offer the help if it eases your mind!
Also, If you decide you need to cancel, I’d be glad to pick up your shirts or whatever and make sure they get to you. I have done this in years past for some other folks, and have no problem continuing my fine tradition of “Swag Mule.”

It’s a natural “hoarding” instinct or something, that I don’t want anyone else to see where I got it from…even if I am alone!
It’s weird, I know.

Maybe I need a shrink for that one…
Let us know how it turned out.
We can use your detailed notes and specific time tables to calculate for future road trips. You DO plan on taking detailed notes and second specific time charts right?
One of my favorite things to do, is look at the Earth caches in Colorado, and try to see how many I could “log” from already being there and knowing the answers to the questions already! I’ll have a nice “to-do” list next time I get out there.
Loveland eah? I actually attended Loveland High for one week. I lived all over the state, but from 6th-12th grade I lived in Fort Collins. My junior year, we were going to move to Loveland, so I transfered there early to start at a new semester…then my Mom got a last minute promotion, we stayed in Fort Collins, and I went back to Rocky Mountain High where I graduated from.
Small World.
Can’t wait to see the cleverness that always comes out for these!
I bought a new headlight this year JUST for the night caches. After finding that SPIDER tree in the dark at Bong last year…my neck crawled all the way to the ultra bright headlamp section.
