That’s because you quoted the wrong part of the sentence….

FREE GAS TO AND FROM THE CAMPOUT

That is the golden nugget you need to grab onto to get excited about it! FREE GAS!! SWEET!! reading the rest of it just brings you back down, like when they post the odds of winning at the end of those AWESOME powerball commercials…

But back on topic, thanks for all the info. Looks like it took some work to get all of it in there, without a lot of extranious junk. Good Work!

That happened at the end of last year actually. I remember one of the radio shows I listen to was making a big hullabalu about it.

I don’t think it’s cool that he did it, or that the bird died, but honestly, can anyone say he had intent to kill a bird with a hit golf ball? If he was THAT accurate, he would have had a heck of a lot more than two tour wins last year.

I believe it when he says he was just trying to scare the bird away. Was it still stupid to do? Yes. But should he go to jail for “14 months” for cruelty to animals?” No.

    Thanks everyone!

It was nice having the whole crew along for a change. We look forward to getting to 200, 500, 1000 together as well! hopefully in a couple of years the little one will be old enough to “understand it” and the big one will be out of the teen years and also “understand it”.

Scheduling problems along with other things limited us for the camp-out, but I will be there along with my Nephew (from Team Goofy Goobers) Can’t wait to put face to some of those names:)

Well, I did see this quote..

“In a 2002 speech the Chief of the Forest Service, Dale Bosworth, said geocaching is a legitimate recreational use of the National Forests.”

Works for me. If the government said it it must be true! And since they just gave me $1800.00 today, I will trust their opinion!
(P.S. That was not a polarizing political statement. All government people are poopie heads no matter WHAT letter comes before their name on C-SPAN.)

Well never mind the waiting….it was just TOO beautiful to not go out last night and hit one more.

So number 100 wasn’t a big event like I had hoped, but it was a nice 600 foot walk down a beautifully re-landscaped path, edged with flowers right along the creek. My 18 month old walked the entire path both ways while stopping to LITERALLY smell the flowers. (almost every single one on the path!)

My 11 year old daughter who is at “that age” and never wants to do any ‘family stuff” anymore came along, (I made here come, but once we got there she was excited) and my wife, (who has been to busy with the baby and winter to get out caching with me) were also with me.

So for the first time in a LONG time, the whole crew was there for the milestone. What a great way to hit 100 and get ready for hundreds if not thousands of caches to come in the future.

How could any cacher say yes to this…. but still cache??

The funny thing about lostby7’s toon…. My sister works with this guy that has a watch that constantly updates hos co-ords…..and displays them…..but he doesn’t own a GPS, and he doesn’t cache or hike or anything…. it’s just a “cool toy” for him 😯 Some peoples kids….

yep. those are the details I am working out right now.

The closest to me is Chicago also…. but it is new still. I plan on making a few of them up closer to here, I was just trying to gauge interest before I spend TOO much time working on them.

ANd you CAN make “location-less” ones that use directions and speed and things instead of actual locations.

Now that I have the Colorado, I just use pocket queries, and dump them right in. I don’t think I’ve loaded GSAK in weeks….It is making me lazy….

in reply to: I need to NOT cache for a few weeks….HELP! #1888762

So I got my battery cover last night…. and hit three caches at lunch….. so now I sit at 99……oh bother.

I would have NO problem giving Best Buy all the credit if it meant $30,000 going to our state parks along with a slew of new caches. I can see why it would upset some people, but to me, it seems like a good deal!

GREAT! We were hoping this would be the case.

Are the new perms. going to be download-able on the day? Or am I gonna have to bring my laptop and cell-card from work to get the info?

Can you IMAGE the race for 3 FTF’s with the crew of people that will be there! Watch out for the tread marks across my back when they run me over!

Maybe I’ll just throw it in the car as far as the park & ride…..that’ll still give me a 3 mile or so round trip….do at least a “little bit”.
