But according to the 528 foot rule, you could only place a cache at every third Starbuck’s or so…..

Too bad my new job is close to 20 miles from home….

Cool! That will help me out with this puzzle cache I am working on. I was having trouble lacing up my NIKE shoes (they feel great!), so I went to SHOPKO (can’t beat those prices) to get some new laces. But on the way I grabbed a STARBUCK’S MOCHA_LATTE (mmmmmm refreshing!) and some SUBWAY (eat fresh!)

but when I put all this in my cache description, they USED to deny me…. but now I am free and clear!! (Just like my face after using this BATH & BODY WORKS FOAMING FACE SCRUB!)

It seems to me, that if this is juts the “starting point” for a multi cache, and there won’t be anything actually AT the location, it wouldn’t be too hard to just move down the trail a few feet and mark that as the starting location.

Since there will not be a “cache” at that location, it could be right in the middle of the trail even. it’s just a starting point for the trail right?

I was hoping to fit this in, but from the sound of it, my nephew and I might be saving this one for when his legs are a bit longer.

I would like a High Cliff event! I have lived in Oshkosh for 7 years almost now, and all everyone always tells me about is High Cliff this and High Cliff that….

I figure it can’t be THAT high being as how I am from Colorado and all….and don’t get me started on the ski slope on rib “mountain”…. 🙄

Well, mark me down for a case of water….. but only if I get to log an extra temp cache…..8O

and wouldn’t it figure…..I have to go to a FRESH geocaching ground for me (near Shawano) and I’ll be all alone with 3+ hours to kill and NO GPS!! It figures the one time I don’t have a co-worker with me to slow me down, and no caching 🙁 b00h00! well at least I can get some descent Sushi at the AWESOME buffet there.

well other than the camera, my Garmin Colorado is a caching dream. But if you want an organizer TOO, you might have to look into one of the GPS enabled PDA’s….not very rugged….

As far as the Lawrence models, I was looking at the 2000 I think it was, because of the touch screen and built in camera, but I have heard SO MANY stories about how awful they work and their customer service (which is in India) leaves a LOT to be desired.

Man….all I did in scouts was weave pot holders for mothers day and camp in the troop leaders back yard once…..

    what a rip!

My Garmin Colorado is the bee’s knees. And you don’t need a PDA!!

I’m just throwin’ it out there 🙂 The more Colorado owners out there, the more of you can do my WhereIgo modules once I figure out the tutorial….

Well, I WAS sewing a Red Sox patch on my new geocaching hat to get ready for the camp-out…..so it kind of came to me.

BTW, for anyone who might have misunderstood, The “what fun is it to keep score…” was directed to those that care about numbers and have inflated them by using different rules, not that I was saying we should “keep score”.

I love Milestones. But for myself, not as a contest with anyone else. (except my sister of course……gotta log more than her!

Do I wish I could log all the temps? Sure do! Do I wish I could log all 6 stages of that 5 star multi that took 3 trips? Sure Do! Am I gonna follow the “rules” that groundspeak.com and the WGA have approved? Sure will! Do I care if anyone else does? Sure don’t!

I know people want to play the game “by their rules” but I don’t think baseball would be any fun if the Home team decided to log extra runs on the score board (Unless it was my Red Sox and the Yankees were in town…)

What fun is keeping score if we all play by different rules?
