That is a TOUGH one! Seldom went over the top for that one (In a GOOD way! funny that you mentioned that since I JUST nominated that for cache of the month)
Well anyway, my problem was aided yesterday when I broke my new GPSr. well, not the WHOLE thing, just the clip that holds on the battery cover. SO I got on the phone with garmin and have a new battery cover on the way, but I am OOC for a few days.
unfortunately this is still a newish job and I can’t pull a call in sick excuse so close to my upcoming raise point…..
but keep the ideas coming!
I know knee surgery…..that is how I got all fat and lazy in the first place!
That was my second option…..but I don’t think my work schedule will allow it…
But I am glad that SOMEONE had that same idea.
First of all, I don’t know about others seldom, but I did NOT take your views as being “biased” because of logo designs or selfishness in anyway. You just don’t seem the type
I think that this….
Although it crossed my mind, I didn’t think it would be appropriate to exclude somebody’s logo simply because it contained some artwork also involved in another unrelated contest. If the little “g” logo becomes the next WGA logo after the voting, then those with t-shirts will have gotten a bit of a head start. If the little “g” logo does NOT become the next WGA logo, then it can simply be part of the WGA Campout 2008 and nothing more.
…seems like a perfectly reasonable approach.
I plan to a lot more often……seeing as how I just bought a bike for that purpose..:)
Well, not to be a spoil sport, but if they change the shirts to the current logo, I will be needing a refund for the ones I bought. Because, frankly, the current WGA logo is not that pretty. (to my eyes of course)
I understand the sentiments and concerns about an “unbranded” logo on the shirt, but it WAS voted on by the board and camp-out committee, and won’t those people be leading the charge for the logo change ANYWAY??
not trying to ruffle feathers, so please take no offense, just voicing an alternate view on things.
I have heard NOTHING but BAD NEWS about the Triton series. But then again, I hear a lot of Bad Stuff about the Garmin Colorado, but I sure love mine, so I guess there is a YMMV edge to that.
I listened to that interview! That was just about when I came up with the idea.
I remember when I lived in Northern Colorado, and we used to drive 40 mile each way to fill up up Wyoming since they had lower taxes, and gas was about .55 cheaper. we used to fill up a dozen 5 gallon cans and squeeze as much as we could in the dual 20 gallon tanks in our old GMC. We could do the WHOLE WORKS for about what it costs me to fill up just my Explorer now…
I know that was awhile ago, but it wasn’t THAT long ago the gas was under a buck. And then we rode home in the back of the truck with no seat belts standing up on the highway while State patrol cars passed us…..the good old days. 😯
Now that my wife and both daughters are out, and it is just me and my nephew. We will be tenting it as well. My first time camping in almost 15 years. Geocaching is changing my life!
Well I told her it was silly anyway, as I could just order it myself and then there won’t be any issues.
Why didn’t I think of that sooner? Must have been the fact that I got the 100% attendance approval from my wife. It had me dazed…
great! thanks for making sure I didn’t screw it up too bad:)
Well look at that, I’m gonna be there! thanks a bunch.
I agree that the solution presented would be a great way to solve the issue.
As I am new-ish to the WGA and have not been to ANY events at all Since I started last year, I am wondering on the official stand for this? I have seen both sides of the argument, and I saw the vote results, but what right now is the OFFICIAL ruling of the WGA in regards to this? I will follow that ruling.
