If you need hands still, I can offer my 1 1/2 member team, as well as 1 1/2 members of “gamers gone caching” who I just confirmed with. ( We are carpooling, and had to make sure we were both able to commit schedule wise.)

So that adds 2 adults, and two teen-ish types to put to work.

Closing in on the big 1K! Nice going!

in reply to: CacheARRRS goes "Parking" for #600 #1928276

    Thanks all!!

I didn’t PLAN to hit 600 last night, but since my now officially teenage daughter didn’t want me to hang at the roller rink with her friends anymore for her birthday party, I decided to try and snag a few in the area before it got dark…and a few after:) I got a lucky streak of “geosenses” working that let me walk right up to a few, and get me a streak of 8 finds in about an hour and a half!

It’s so much easier to hit these muggle prone park areas after nature’s “lights out”, until you set a container on the ground to sign the log…then can’t find it again!

I have a Colorado, and I would LOVE a whereigo! I’d gladly team up with some people to run them through it.

Scout, I posted in the pathtag forum that I would be glad to act as the mule and take full responsibility to mail out tags if folks couldn’t attend and I haven’t heard from the board yet about it either. Shirt shipping becomes a lot more involved, and I would be willing to help if arrangements could be made that would satisfy the board and all involved. I can;t say I’d take on the full mantle of shirt distribution, since thats a bit more involved than shipping out a few sets of pathtags, but I’ll help wherever I can to distribute these items to those WGA members who want to spread the word of our organization, but can;t attend certain events.

Thanks for the heads up labrat! I sent off my email asking for a join request.

It’s always nice to help out some people in need, and get a nice treat at the same time.

I still will always use my Colorado for caching, but it;s nice to have a good app on the phone, for first to finds, or grabbing a few caches in the area if I have to take a road trip for work.

It always helps to have that back-up device on me at all time.

Well done! Now get out there and finish Duplicate Bridge Tournament!

in reply to: WGA Pathtags #1926630

I will offer my services as a pathtag “Mule”, to be a middleman if need be.

If the WGA Board will allow it, I would gladly buy extra sets when they are available (I assume the aimed goal is for the camp-out?) and mail them out to those that can not make the event.

Now don’t use this as an excuse to not come to the events, because that’s just silly! But for those who absolutely can not make an event, I would be willing to help out as I said, by middle-manning the operation, thus relieving the WGA of a burden of putting them on the storefront or arranging for shipping and whatnot.

Anyway, the offer is there if the Board agrees, and anyone is interested in taking advantage of the offer.

Thanks for the geohunter suggestion! I also have an Android based phone (Droid) and have been trying to figure out how to get cachemate to work, and it’s been like pulling teeth…

Well, I sort of thought it was funny….

And there weren’t any new REAL milestones posted today…

in reply to: Groundspeak Surveymonkey survey #1927682

Got mine. Filled it out. told them to give me free stuff for filling out their survey. Let’s see if it works 🙂

I liked the part where it asked where you go for geocaching related help, and got to say “another forum” as ALWAYS, since the WAG is of course my defacto go to page for all things caching…

But then you need a much larger tree to hang it from….

FYI: Still working on this…I’ve just been busy with class, work, gym, kids, sunny days to go caching…. you know the usual.

I hope to have two rough score types ready to post here this weekend!

The fixed link in the first post works for me now. (It did not before)
