Contact your local Boy Scout office. They normally have gps’s to borrow.

I’m thinking of some really great challenges…

I could put in coords to David Cantrell’s house and have the challenge be “Drive here and honk your horn”.

Coords are already out there! (If you are a premium member). But you can add drop off an ice cold BEER before you honk your horn. :gna:

Apology accepted. Just had to get it out there because I think this conversation can be good. I don’t want the bashing which could result in locking up the board (like what happened with two previous discussions).

I do think that the intentions were on the good side when they rolled them out though.

I can honestly see both sides of this argumant. Yes, it is not “caching” but one cannot call out cachers as “not honest true cachers” who does a challenge.

What I got from this was that they intended for these challenges to be at Monuments, and other areas that a cache cannot be placed. I think they were hoping that these challenges would help bring more people to these kind of places.

Do I like these new challenges? Not sure yet. They may have some potential. But again, they may not.

Sandman, not to pick on you but I did take offence of your “true honest cachers”. I have 1028 caches found and 1 challenge completed, that does not make me a dishonest cacher.

    Just my honest opinion.

I see a lot of abuse in the future on these

    Really? I can’t imagine anyone abusing this. 🙄 🙄

If it stays I’m probably done with geocaching because it’s made the whole “geocaching” thing worthless. Where’s that thread about what will kill the game?

Good point Code. I will just stay away from these dumb ____ challenges and keep on caching like I would if these weren’t here. This way we can see who is the TRUE HONEST CACHERS ARE ❗ ❗ ❗ ❗ ❗ ❗ ❗ ❗ ❗ ❗ ❗ ❗ ❗ :back: :back: :back: :back: <

This is team Sandman Picketing the Challenges

So people who do challenges are not true honest cachers????? Just trying to understand what you are saying.

Do you get credit for completing half a challenge???

    in reply to: Challenges #1951983

    http://www.geocaching.com/challenges/view.aspx?cx=CX74

Is for the one in Wausau.

If I got it right, you can challenge almost anything (fellow cachers can flag the challenge and too many flags = deletion of challenge) and completed challenges counts as a find but making a challenge does not count as a hide.

    This maybe kind of interesting.
