I will be there the first part of friday and saturday. I am trying to find more volunteers for the both to keep it going the entire time.

In the mean time, you can go to http://www.lnt.org and there is a wealth of knowledge there.

With C:Geo going bye bye, what is the best droid app?

I am going to try geobeagle (hey, i am buas towards beagles, have 2 of them at home).

That sucks, I liked using it. My only problem with C:GEO was that it stopped allowing me to log my finds and everything stayed “offline”.

Maybe someone will pick this up and keep it moving.

    A couple more musts:
    1. Bug spray
    2. Compass
    3. Garbage bag to pick up trash to and from the cache!

Was at the Flambeau Canoe Base (Boy Scout Camp owned by Samoset Council) with the troop this past weekend and came upon one of my wost camping petpeeves. Multiple firerings in the same camp. There was 4 rings within 50 feet and 3 of those were within 10 feet from each other. Now this camp is open to canoeists doing canoe trips and needing a campsite to use for the night. What is sad about this is that the firerings that were there are soooo bad that it will take over 30 years anykind of natural growth to develop.

This is a simple sample on an impact that we do when we do not think before we act when it comes down to fires.

I did one too and I have to go back and have it quoed. Once it was quoed, it came right away.

In my honest opinion, the entire series should be either PMO or not. Not just the final. If I was a regular member, and did the first nine in the series, got all the clues needed for the final, found the final, ad was not able to log it, I’d be upset. Keep in mind that this series is a very fun series, regular members have access to the clues to the final. Because of this, I feel that this final should be made for everyone to log.

Howver, I do agree on how that one cacher cried wolf is not the way to go. They should of contacted th CO’s instead.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

I’ll plant a cache there. A puzzle cache. To find the cache, you must remove th 4 stumps. The hint would be….. Are you stumped?

in reply to: Stump removal help #1948652

For some reason I don’t think my neighbor would appreciate that since the stumps are pretty close to his wooden fence.

It is all in the matter if what will have the “less” impact. Sometimes the simple straight forwatrd route is not always the best approach to a particular cache. It’s about using the most durable surface that is out there. And of course, CITO is always nice. However, we need to be careful with CITO at times as well. Example would be at an old mining camp and you see some “trash” like an old tin can or a shot up frying pan. Taking those items may be illegal because of it being part of the old mining camp.

And I agree, Ken, that is a very nice article.

The 3-way compass is very nice. Works great for me in heavy cover and while standing still. Though there are some areas that makes it a lil jumpy. But overall, its grrrrrrrrrrrrreat!

Thanks for the ideas. I did delete their post. Sent them a lenghty nice email explaining them why it was deleted. I hate deleting logs but really it is common sence not to find a school cache while school was in session.

Now I wonder what kind of reply will I get from them.
