Wicket says, “Way to go! WI Searchers!!
I say congrats and keep on cachin’!Now that’s a deal! I’ve walked with you before – and I think its me keeping up with you!
~Cachew and WicketTRULY amazing! Warm congratlations to you from Wicket and Cachew!
I purchased a 76S for my daughter and she really likes it. It has more memory for maps than my GPS V, provision for external antenna (never required yet), is light weight and fits in a shirt pocket (like my Meridian). I purchased a Magellan Meridian Platinum just to try out the competition and, although it is a great gpsr in the woods, I like the Garmin software built into their gpsr’s much better. I also like the mapping software on the pc better.
I am not a fan of the built-in compass on either the Magellan or the Garmin 76S. (You need to recalibrate everytime you change batteries, etc) I remain a fan of my Mark I magnetic compass.
Both the Meridian and the 76S will display elevation changes if you’re into that.
So, I use the GPS V in the car (a wow instrument!), the Magellan for rough duty geocaching. My daughter uses her 76S for geocaching and geology field trips. We both are happy! I have recommended the 76S unit to other friends and they are happy, too.

(Wicket has a great built-in sense of direction, challenging any gpsr on the return trip to the car!)Happy #200! What an addiction! Wicket is smiling with you, too! ~Cachew
Thanks to you all! Now it’s ‘out for just one more!’

Thanks for the recognition – this weekend may do it. As far as the cookout/get together goes though, I hid em – so I can’t find em! I was as sneaky as I could be with the hides.
Our gathering is on a football Saturday – but on the opposite side of the lake: should not have a traffic problem.

Congrats on all of your finds! (and on all of your hides! I found one of them today, and starting on another tomorrow.) Thanks again for the 100th Cache.
Look out! All it takes is one successful outing and you’ll be hooked!
There are plenty of cachers over your way – I’m sure you will hook up. Happy cachin!
I quite often have a max spped of 300+ mph while in the company plane. Waypoints with an altitude of 20,000 feet seem bogus, though.
bnb – I was glad to walk with you on some hides and a find! Keep on cachin’.
Jeff, Bonnie and Ken – GREAT job!
I’ll bring some watermellon.
GrouseTails – I’ll bring a pair of FRS.
I will offer a few mosquito netting face shields. These can be real helpful when filling out a log in a swarm!
