Ken, the Garmin Nuvi 760 can do this. Exports the track into MapSource nicely.

The cover could be quite a story for ‘What’s in your bag?’ 😮
Only slightly off-topic: here are some links to reviews of

http://www.gpsinformation.org/penrod/poiloader/poiloader.htmlA .gdb file is the format that Garmin saves data in it’s MapSource program. I have several of these database files. For work – showing customer locations across the US, the private airports used to get there and hotels, etc. It would be cool to be able to connect Mapsource to a Nuvi and upload these files just as I do with my Legend Hcx.
So .gdb is just a MapSource data file.
Thanks for all of the answers! A final (?) question – can you upload Garmin .gdb files?
Okay – one more curious question: Have you marked a new waypoint with one of these Nuvi’s?
My question about the compass screen was purely academic – I like driving to this screen, even with my auto-routing handhelds.
Another question: Is there a compass screen? (I’ve looked but haven’t been able to find on-line manuals.)
I am extremely interested if you can successfully upload geocache waypoints (as we know them, and as they come from gc.com) without any fussing around. Also, please let us know if you can successfully upload your existing waypoint libraries. I know they claim that you can upload custom POI’s, but I have a feeling that the format is different.
Thanks,
CachewCould you post that entire link here? Thanks from another dummy 😀

The TBug was set free yesterday – near Reedsburg, on the way to Wildcat Mountain.
I’d rate it a d=0.25 and t=1…. But how did it come to be here? Instead of dropping off in a real cache?
Found it! Now it’s ready to continue it’s journey back to Kenosha. Somehow it made a leap from the University of San Diego all the way to the University of Wisconsin. Uff Da!
Yes – I’m nearby and will go get it. Are you saying that the finder left it there and contacted you?
This appears to be down by the UW Student Union near the sailboats.

From the Geocaching.com website….
What are the rules in Geocaching?
Geocaching is a relatively new phenomenon. Therefore, the rules are very simple:
1. Take something from the cache
2. Leave something in the cache
3. Write about it in the logbook
