While skiing at LaGrange yesterday, Mate encountered a couple walking on the ski trail (always a no-no). When she yelled,”Excuse me!”, they gave her a bad look and refused to move over. This issue has been mentioned in previous posts, and it really is ANNOYING!
02/10/2010 at 8:23 pm in reply to: Anyone else need to log-in again and again on geo.com???? #1921678We just noticed that once a month or so, our security software will do an automatic scan, find one cookie, and quarantine it. The scan history shows this has happened every month for the last several. Not sure if this has anything to do with the log-in issue, but we did notice we were logged out this morning. We logged in and haven’t had any problem. We were even logged in when viewing cache pages in GSAK, which isn’t always the case.
We certainly plead guilty to copying and pasting on a few occasions: days with quite a few finds when we didn’t take good notes, or, as Zuma noted, when finding several along a trail and memory was fuzzy on some. However, if we had a choice for our caches, we’d definitely would prefer a copy and paste log with some substance (hopefully with a sentence or so about the specific cache) than the all-too-common “SL TFTC!”. We agree, however, that copying and and pasting is to be avoided, but may be necessary in certain situations, especially such as Jerry’s Dad mentioned in his post.
We did 52 in West Bend last September. We hope to do 100 someday, probably in that same area of Illinois referenced earlier.

I do quite often, not sure what the deal is but mine goes in streaks, I’ll be fine for a month then spend the next month logging in every time I hit gc.com.
This happens to us, too. We’ve thought about bringing it up in the forum, but figured it was just us.
Duh! On second thought, if he was previously banned, he wouldn’t have logged on this cache today. Never mind! 😳

Edit for: change from maintenance to archive and to also say I looked up the person that requested archive is banned now.. first time I’ve found a banned profile on geocaching.
This isn’t the same guy who was mentioned a few weeks back for the armchair caching incident, is it? 🙄

Does a knife count if its intended purpose is not self-defense? We always have a multi-tool with us, but have never needed to defend ourselves with it.
This all seems like a great idea to us. It’s probably too early for “what ifs?” since this plan will undoubtedly be subject to modification as the process goes forward. Obviously, a lot of thought has already gone into this and we trust that the BOD will cross those bridges when they come to them.

Absolutely!
That’s a thought. IMHO, partisan political junk from both parties has ground the effectiveness of our government to a halt. 😡

I think maybe we should think about taking care of our own first
Perhaps if our elected officials someday learn to work together, instead of playing politics to protect their phony-baloney jobs, some of those issues might start to be solved. However, it would be unthinkable to turn our backs on the victims of a massive disaster like the one in Haiti simply because we have unsolved problems here.
