I think McCarthy’s head is getting closer the chopping block.
One can only hope! We’ve had it with him and his empty promises to address the problems, not to mention his extreme overuse of the word,”FOOTBALL”! We all know the definition of crazy: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. 😡
The Amazing Geo-Race series makes for a great trip around the lake area. Definitely recommended!

If we’re beating dead horses, I still want to see roundabouts banned. Not the caches… just the roundabouts.
Captain’s with you on this, but Mate still likes ’em. (The roundabaouts, not the caches.)

I think that only effected the pages of that one thread where the pictures were posted.
That’s been the case for us, too.
We have most of the caches within 15 miles or so, which has required us to drive further and further, but it’s gotten us to a lot of neat places, too. We still have a lot to find in Kenosha and Racine, which aren’t that far away. At one time, we were hell-bent to get every cache in Bong. That’s a great place, but there haven’t been any new caches there in a while, so we really miss caching there. Overall, it’s a bit of a bummer to have to travel more, but there’s a whole world of caches out there and the fun is never-ending! 😀

I think the real answer is that you should only place the number of caches that you are able to maintain well.
We’ll give a big “Amen” to that!

On that same line of thinking, Sweetlife, what about randomly posting pictures from the photo albums to show how fun this is?
I agree that having a page that is 90% blank does nothing for the association.
Photos of people caching are the first thing you see on the Geocaching.com home page. We agree that adding a similar feature to this site would be a good idea.

So, has anyone completed all 106 caches yet? This series is already on its second day now. 😉
Place your bets, folks. Who will it be?
Navicache.com is out there too, but has far fewer caches. We’ve dabbled with it but haven’t actually looked for any caches on the site. We’re pretty happy with Geocaching.com and aren’t looking to go elsewhere.
Captain comes from 35 years of driving excursion boats around Geneva Lake as a summer job. Now that I’m retired from education, it’s become a primary job. Mate, of course, is a loving wife, former colleague in the teaching profession(also now retired), avid caching partner, and even a former crew member on the boats.
That was easy to fix. We edited ours today. We never would have known about the puctuation problem without Marc calling it to our attention.
Hey, many thanks for all these great suggestions! This will definitely give us some new spots to try. 😀
09/15/2009 at 11:41 am in reply to: Should placing a geocache inside a roundabout be banned? #1914224Mate loves roundabouts-Captain hates them, but we agree that they’re no place for a cache.
Now that’s pretty cool. Thanks for a very useful post!
